Hey everyone,

I am looking for 2nd tier PPC networks... just by searching Google, I have come up with this list so far:

Looksmart
ASK
Miva
Searchfeed
Adbrite
7 Search
Enhance
Kanoodle
Search 123
Bidvertiser
Go Click
ABC Search
Mirago
Mamma
ePilot

Does anyone know where a more comprehensive list is? Or, do you know of any other 2nd tier PPC networks that I do not have included in that list above?

If you have any information at all, please let me know. Thanks!

here's some more:

Twivert
Revtwt
Facebook
Clicksor
Exit Junction
Chitika
AdToll
Target Point
Fastclick
ClickThruTraffic
Peakclick
Umax
Thegreenppc
Klickvip
Etology
Search feed
Adengage

amazing things can be done with $0.01 clicks ;)

The quality of traffic is far worse in 2nd tier networks and limited features in their features compared to Adwords.

I'm hoping to see some reviews on which 2nd tier actually performed well for you guys though.

Really?

My understanding is that 1st tier would be advertisers from "1st tier" countries like US, CAN, UK, AUS.
2nd tier would be advertisers from places like EU, Japen, sometimes places like Mexico, etc
3rd tier would be "newer EU" members like Bulgaria, Romania and basically everywhere else.

Which countries fall into which category vary from network-to-network.
Or more importantly, its less to do with where they are from, but where they are marketing to!

For example, a Mexican company might be selling only to a US audience, so would use a 1st Tier network (Like Adwords). Likewise a US company might be selling only to a Mexican audience, so would use a Tier 2/3 network.

2nd tier networks, lets face it, are not as big and generally as good as Adwords. Therefore with anything like that, they simply dont have the same level of features.

As for traffic, its not that 2nd tier traffic is of a lower quality per se (more of those visitors may well want to buy your product).
The problem is that 99% of CPA offers you promote are only available to "1st tier" countries, or even solely aimed to the US market.

Hi guys,
no no no, you have miss understand the whole tier thing,

1st tier means that that's the original source of traffic.
i.e i buy traffic from google which is a genuine google' traffic,
2nd tier is a website who buys from a few first tiers sources with some surd of exclusive deals, they mix it all up nicely throw to the microwave and serve it hot as new.

3r tier, well thats allready a milkshake of traffic from all over the place, and thats why it's usually less targeted and harder to optimize even the owners have no idea where the traffic is coming from sometimes...

Cheers, i hope this was helpfull

By the way, thanks for the list, some of them i never tried before ;)

Anyone know which ones who gives you a signup bonus?

Are you getting quality clicks on those ? Adwords gives me the best conversions. Stay away from bidvertiser tho

Thank you for the list. So far I have tried adbrite, 7search, miva, adengage and etology.
7search is my favorite as the traffic seems quite high quality.

Can anyone share his experience with some of those networks? like what niche you bought the traffic in and what the CTR. Because we all know different networks have different CTR for different niches

Yes; I also need some review on those 2nd tier ppc networks

Here's a couple articles on the Tier 2 space, and how to vet new networks (full disclosure: these were written by me). I just found this board and this is my first post, so I am not allowed to paste in links (which I completely understand) so you can just Google the titles and/or the publications if you are interested.

"Will A New Tier of Search Advertising Providers Emerge?" published on SearchEngineWatch

"The 5 Point Checklist Every Search Marketer and Advertiser Should Have" published on SearchMarketingStandard

I work for LookSmart, so obviously I'm a bit biased, but we essentially offer Tier 1 technology and traffic quality at Tier 2 prices. We're offering $50 in matched clicks right now for new advertisers to test drive the network. Again, I can't paste in a link, but if you go to the SearchMarketingStandard article, you can click on the ad above the article and it will take you to a landing page with the coupon code.

This seems like a cool board, I'm excited to look around some more.

A couple people have direct messaged me with questions about LookSmart (Alex and Rostum). Unfortunately, the site wont let me respond until I have 15 posts. Hopefully you guys will check back here - don't want you to think I am ignoring you!

If you want, you can email me - I of course also can't post my email address, but let's see if you can decipher this. ;)

kdobson (followed by) the symbol in all email addresses (followed by) my company name (starts with an "l" and is the one you're asking about) followed by standard email ending.
