I am going to try to acquire clients by direct mailing and then try to make a sale when they call but will meet up with them in person if need be. But I am 16 so when I am on the phone with them will they take me seriously? How can I make sure they take me serious?

Be educated. Know what you're talking about. Treat this like a business (which it is) and run it professionally. If you produce the results they desire, chances are they won't mind your age because they know your mindset is that of an adult. Best of luck to you and keep us posted!

Don't tell them you're 16 , because that's not what's important. Unless they're paying you to be a 16 year old. Be so confident that they assume you must be 20 but look like your 13.
