We closed our 1st Online Reputation Management deal today with a large restaurant. It took a few weeks to negotiate the deal but we close today. They took our "gold" package which is $3,000 a month with a 3 month contract. They will sign an additional 12 month maintenance contract once the first phase is over.

We are setting them up so their customers can leave reviews on their mobile phones while still at the restaurant. We are building them a mobile optimized landing page that can be accessed through a simple URL. We are also building them a system that allows their customers to leave reviews by text message!

We have already started to up-sell the client on additional services including Google Places optimization. We opened a new business account at the bank today and start work tomorrow. We have come up with some GREAT ideals for the project already and have some additional ones in the pipeline.

I have attached a picture of the 1st check and will keep you guys updated on our progress.

Good job mate.. I just signed up my first rep management client too. Feels so good to talk the big league numbers..
 
$9k over three months is big league numbers? It's a starting point, but def not big league.

We've stopped mailing for about 3 weeks because we got busy with other things.

The important thing I think is to stay consistent (keep mailing) and follow up.

Like with many high priced services the lead time is rather long. The things you do today will affect you in three to four weeks.

Especially if you're not following up :P

Some of the guys talk about pushing the pain. You guys have to be careful with that because it can turn them off.

I had a few that I burned by being too aggressive and offending them.

Most importantly don't get discouraged!

@OP : Congratulation ! It is a very good start ! And it will branch from there, keep that up and take care of you customer !
 
What are you charging monthly for your maintenance fee?

Yes deff take care of the customer or else we'll all end up doing reputation management for ourselves. :P

I want to thank 7878 for giving US the motivation to try it out.

I decided to use a completely diff system than his because it helps my client to gain a list while getting reviews. And it enables the manager to follow up with complainers personally.

It's hard to hate someone that personally calls you to apologize. It's the ultimate damage control. :)

$100 just to monitor and additional fee per review.

P.S. I've learned to ignore the flamers. :P Although to me it seems like thinks have gotten better on here over the past year.

P.S. Thanks BHW!! This forum has deff shortened my learning curve. It's funny how I look back just two years ago and think "Wow I thought that was so revolutionary!!"

But the flamers do tell it like it is. Nowadays I wont even consider wasting my time watching something unless it's reccomended highly by my peers here. So that's one good example of how flamers "keep it real!" lol
 
First off congrats on the sell, just more inspiration for me to get on my biz. Already got a website outranking the company I want to sell my services to, just need to get my stuff in order before I approach them.

I would try to blur that photo better, some of the numbers would be easy to make legible. I'd use black bars instead of blur. Maybe I'm just paranoid though.

Maybe you're right. I'm going to take it off until morning when I get back on my computer. I'm paranoid too.

I guess you can't ever be too careful! :)

Congrats mate! Just proves that there is more to IM than SEO alone. Glad to see someone is successful with other ventures such as Rep Management. Just got to scale your business and earn those big $$s!

Brilliant success there, that is definitely a good client, make sure you add qr codes for the mobile users
