I need $200 in the next two days.(urgent)

So my Mom is incredibly ill with Glandular fever in hospital but is 300 miles away from where me, my brother and sister are staying. She was there for a conference with her colleagues at her firm and she caught the virus on the second day. She's not entirely sure how she caught it.She's been ill frequently in the past 2 years but this is the worse she's been hit, we're really worried. We don't have enough money to fly there and we barely have enough money to pay for gas there and back. My Dad is not on good terms with his brothers and sisters after years of ignoring their help and he's not going to change now. He is adamant that he will find money to get us there himself. I feel he won't, and my brother-12 years old and sister 14 years old are too young to come up with $200.

I've been banned from Fiverr for a mistake they made and freelance work anywhere else has been quite dead. Those are pretty much guaranteed money sources but I'm struggling to think of how I can come up with the money.

The reason I need the money within two days is because my Dad is starting a new job on Thursday and we won't be able to travel out there once he starts working. He's the only one that can drive at the moment.

any help will be appreciated.

It's depressing that your story is like that but $200 in 2 days.. you're going to have to do a lot of work. No one will just hand over $200 like that.

Maybe tell us what you can do and see if anyone is interested?

With all respect, with -2 rep, some people may even doubt your story.
 
Hmmmm....... even if you weren't banned from fiverr, it would still be a hard 'trick' coming up with $200 in 2 days, from just gigs, so ultimately you would have still raised this thread regardless.

Well, i am not going to be sceptical here, will just go with your side of the story; first, i send my heart felt sympathies to your Mom.

Secondly, you have not made it easy for those willing to sympathize with you to help you.

You should have opened up another fiverr account, and pleaded BHWers to patronize your Gigs enmasse, you get to serve a need, and meet yours as well.

I am going to make life on BHW alot less difficult by given you a Rep+, its the least i can do( to salvage your very damaged Rep situation) till your story is verified.

I'm not expecting people to hand me over $200.

I'm willing to write a hell of a lot of articles to get the money. I have some samples if anyone's interested.

As others have said, if there's some service you can offer, there might be others willing to help.

And to the others, no matter how much money you made and what status you are, money ain't free but if you can do something like raise him $200, this forum can make a good precedent.

That's the best option (something offline) I see, with the exception of a handout. Plenty of people posted the method, bust out some sites and get on the phone calling the businesses.

The second thing is, either working online or offline (if you don't pick up a check or cash), it'll take at least 3 days for PayPal to deposit you your money...so, yeah....

Also, why wont your mothers company borrow her the money and she can work it of later? I dont buy the story, but good luck and I hope you are not out to scam good honest people.

It's a really awkward situation, my dad really doesn't want to go through them and that includes us contacting them as well.

I'm willing to do a hell of a lot of work for people, not really wanting free money given to me. I'd feel bad taking money I didn't earn.
