So I just got deactivated after hitting 1k followers. I had a drug niche related account. Posted pics I found online and on other apps. One of my photos was ttaken down, it was a drawing of a guy snorting lines off a treadmill, I was like well shit idk.. Then I left for like 2 hours and I tried to log in and it said I was deactivated for violating their rules but I posted pics like everyone else.. They say I kept constantly requesting likes from others and asking for followers. I did not do any of that alll I did was follow and unfollow people every few hours.

Thank you, the email I got it sent from had a weird name too, It looked sketchy but it looked like it had the correct name. Should I send the a picture, I was posting a ton of weed pics and stuff like keif and dabs and stuff and some people asked me if I was selling and I just said I sold out to seem legit, im not 18 but a lot of people say I look older than I am, im in highschool, could something go wrong if I send the the pic?
 
I don't know, seems pretty weird to me.
I definitely never got that before and i dont know if i'd trust it, plus its only 1k followers, that takes like 1 week tops to make another

I made that account 5 days after my first one and passed it in followers in like 3 days and got lots of likes and see a lot of potential in it, I would post the email so yall can see it but BHW doesnt let me.
 
You tried to grow your account the spammy way. It also doesn't look like you were using original or hq content either. Tough luck bud. Take it as a lesson and learn from it.

How badly do you want the account?
It might just be better to ditch the account and start again.
From the links that I posted it looks like Instragram do occasionally ask for this type of verification but it doesn't mean it is genuine, if it is, then you may get the account back but ...

Do you really want to send a genuine picture of yourself to a third party, who if they received complaints that you are selling drugs may be required to inform law enforcement?
Depending on where you are based, and your parents attitudes is it worth it? Even if you are innocent of everything it could be a whole lot of hassle for a poxy IG account.
 
How are they a third party? Also, you have a point, Idk if i should start over, I spent a lot of time on it, D:
 
Recognize your mistake and start over, is advice from this newbie.
I've had my fair share of experience in social media and any non organic way to grow your account has a chance of getting banned. (Even if its something minor and stupid)

Sorry, what I meant was that IG would hand over your photo to a third party (Police/FBI) if requested or required to by a court order.
If Drugs are illegal where you are, then you don't want to have any direct connection or link to the account.
If you haven't been using proxies then they already have your IP and an idea of your location.
Give them your photo and you may as well just walk into your local police station smoking a joint.
Chances are nothing is going to happen but I doubt you will get the account back.
Some people will think I am being paranoid but better to be paranoid than get a visit from plod.

Yep I got one of these last year too. At first I was worried that it was a huge deal, but just got a huge piece of paper and covered half of my face, just showing eyes and nose. Got my account back right after. It could be triggered from a number of things...

1. The proxy you used for your account
2. How many accounts use that same proxy
3. Have your accounts been sufficiently warmed up, i.e. take it easy uploading photos... Uploading 30 pics in 2 days on a new account is not normal activity.
4. Follow settings may be too aggressive... ease up and warm the accounts...
5. The cocaine photos themselves... not sure if this topic violates the TOC or not. no clue.

I dont use a proxy, my bro and sis and friends use IG constantly when they hang out here. I also use IG in my high school and out of 4k people maybe like 600 use instagram on the school wifi
 
I did what you did and facebook support emailed me saying i reached them at a channel they dont support. I was like wtf? They linked me to their OFFICIAL website so I know someone isnt phishing me.
