Hello I am new to IM and stuff but and I am considering to buy a VPS but I have some questions.

My plan is to purchase a VPS and run traffic exchange sites like HL, AddMeFast etc on it 24/7 but I am unfamiliar how exactly VPS works. When I use a VPS, do I just start the connection through my PC then leave it alone and it will run in your server(with the TE sites running) even when I close my connection to it?

Do you have any suggested VPS package for this purpose?

OT: Maybe if someone has a newbie guide fo using VPS to do this function, I will be thankful to be pointed in the right direction.

The VPS works exactly the way you described, you login using the Remote Desktop Connection application on your machine (it comes preinstalled with most windows versions and there are mac and linux alternatives) and then it's just like a remote computer, which you can run the TE bots and automators and close the Remote Desktop Connection application (the bots will keep running until you login and close them, so you can even turn off your computer if you desire).


You can start with the lowest package, which should suffice for most described needs, and then if necessary you can upgrade to a bigger package. Upgrades are a available at any time.

Hi toughtrasher,

The Hostname, root password and nameserver fields are for your own reference only (if you're using Windows), so you can use the Hostname field as a machine id with no problems.
