How to choose a page title that will make a page grow - Noobs only

I thought I'd post this for the Noobs, most other people will already know this.

So how to choose a good title?

Of course "Join if ...." titles often get you a lot of fans, however they have been used a lot, and are also harder to monetize.

Join to see a youtube video / funny picture / status update / etc. has been used to death as well. But why not put a twist on that?

So what twist do I suppose? Basically what you need to do is go to Google Trends and choose one where people will be interested to see pictures off.

Right now "Oil Spill" would be a good one. Go to google and scrape 5 to 10 good pictures of that. Create a page called "The best / most interesting / most amazing pictures of the Oil spill" or something similar.

Set it up so that they need to join in order to be able to see the pictures however state that they won't need to invite friends or fill out a survey for this.

After that you go and buy status updates, for example on the marketplace of a prominent gateway affiliate company (u all know who is meant) there are always guys selling them.

Make sure the status updates state that there are no surveys and invite friends needed. An example for the oil spill would be:
"Wow can't believe that the oil spill, as devestating as it is can also be so beautiful, check out these pictures: URL
Thank god there are no stupid surveys on that page.

So how to monetize this? An easy approach is to put simple zoosk banners in between some of the pictures (do not overdo that). That alone can get you up to 50 bucks a night. Every second night or so put up another picture that will get people to go and watch them again and again there is a chance that they might sign up for zoosk. This is a way of monetizing while staying under the radar, pages like that that i've had have stayed up for a very long time (several weeks while being up to 400k big).
On top of that sometimes (only do that once every 3 days or so) you can post saying something around: Playing xxxx and watching TV what could be better to waste time on a boring Thursday afternoon with xxx being your affiliate link to some sort of game offer.

Note: Don't use per install / download games, facebook users just don't do it. Use online sign up ones.

I am kinda lost on this

to be honest, the title or the concept of the page has little to do with a page going viral because facebook users are constantly inundated with witty and clever pages by marketers like us. What matters is the technique. Having the special JavaScript and other tricks to get pages viral. You need lots of friends and or groups to get the ball rolling. As for deletion, milk it quickly. make money and then repeat with a new one

That might be your idea or concept of it, I am not even saying they go viral I am saying they go to 300 to 500k fans, which is not quite viral. And I had several pages like that and they have lasted me a long time not "getting milked" quickly just making me steady small amounts. A lot of these pages are still up, some even after more than a months now. But think whatever you want mate, the less people do it this way the less competition for those who want to have pages stay alive.
