Blogger is better than Custom Domain or WordPress (Self Hosted)?

Hi There,

I heard people saying Promote your Affiliate Product on Blogspot (Blogger). Without using Custom Domain for the Site or any WordPress (Self Hosted) ?

Why? I mean what is the reason behind this?

Please let me know.

Personally, I've come across more self-hosted WP sites on the SERPs than any other platform when it comes to affiliate sites.

Brother it depends upon the strategy also. I guess! What about A/B Testing?

I think I should test both the platform myself.

Not sure what you mean, but just to be clear, my "lesson" was about the IMers in the FB Group and on Skype, not you!

To be honest, the reason I've come across more WP sites is probably due to the fact that WP is generally more popular among affiliate marketers.

In my opinion, as long as you give Google what it wants, the platform shouldn't really matter (WP, blogger, etc.).

I'm guessing that you are talking about bridge pages when you are saying "promote your affiliate product". If yes, then this video can help you create an affiliate page that Google is more likely to like. The video is geared towards AdWords advertisers, but IMHO, it is applicable to people who are after organic rankings as well. Hope this helps!

But can you tell me if We can advertise the Affiliate Link directly on Adwords and FB Ads?

They were saying about this too. There are some scripts for this.
 
Because it is free and can probably rank fast and rank well because of the PR of the parent domain.
