The officer reportedly told the couple that they were trespassing and that other patrons at the club believed them to be terrorists because of the black backpack the couple had in their possession. ?In Sri Lanka, babies are used by terrorists,? the cop allegedly said.

Under that logic, thousands of HS students are now terrorists.

I seriously do not get why people get so crazy over a woman breastfeeding in public, a bathroom is an unsanitary place to eat, and babies are more prone to getting sick. So society should just let women breastfeed their babies in public its not indecent.

Showing missiles to breastfeed the baby in public would be considered as terrorists.

This is a powerful social issue and I think could be monetized, i.e. advocating "breast feeding acceptance" or similar. Breast-fed babies are healthier as the Mother's immunities are passed on to the infant, which results in healthier babies, lower infant mortality rate, lower healthcare costs, etc...

I think a well-informed webmaster could make some serious ka-ching.

"baby screaming not disruptive to dinners",true lines .A grown up child can manage hunger to some extend but how can the same be with new born kids it will surely affect the kid's growth ? But restroom is not the place to feed but feeding can be done in public imo when all other's views in the dinner is good.

From the brick-and-mortar business perspective, starting up a national/global chain of locations where breastfeeding is not just accepted or encouraged but required could be a major money maker.

Run it like a gym membership: Charge an annual fee, provide a personalized membership card valid for that year time frame that is accepted at ANY AND ALL locations, and provide private suites with various amenities.

You could have multiple tiers of service, also, with a greater service offering available for the one-off or annual package upgrade fee.

That is how you capitalize on government stupidity.

Or you could get one of those breast pumps and always have a bottle ready in a bag like most breast feeding women do ?

Its not just a taboo thing..most women are'nt keen on pulling out their tits in public.

Cover up dem titties while your feeding your offspring or leave is how I feel about it.

Problem is a large percentage of women wont do that and will turn into aggro-mom the second anyone says anything to them about the fact that they've whipped out their saggy milk maker where others are trying to work / eat / socialise / etc.

Well that would mean planning just a few minutes ahead of time. Heaven forbid the mother has to do something, anything in consideration of others.

Funny my Mom breastfed all her children (5 of us) and never had this issue. My wife breastfed our two children and never had the urge to pull a tit out in public for everyone else to see or feel uncomfortable about. When an unplanned emergency did arise, I remember she carried a light blanket to cover up so nobody could see anything.

Makes you wonder how so many children were breastfed in the past but just recently this has become an issue. I don't believe it's Society that has change but rather the Mothers. With just a bit of planning they should be able to dine in public with their children without making anyone feel uncomfortable.

Breastfeeding is a personal and intimate act. So is taking a crap. I don't especially feel comfortable in the pressence of someone doing either.

I don't find it obscene, just uncomfortable.
