I know DP suck, but on each forum you must abide to their rules
The following type posts or combinations of these types of posts typically receive bumping infractions.
1. "Thank you." posts. (Thank you messages can be put in a PM.)
2. "PM sent." type messages. (including "send me details", "PM list of URLs", "interested", "sold", etc.)
3. "Stumbled or Dugg all." (No longer allowed on DP.)
4. Sequential or count down type messages such as the following.
* Sale ends in 5 hours.
* Sale ends in 4 hours.
* ...
or
* Three more slots available.
* Two more slots available.
* One slot available.
5. Still accepting offers/bids. The presumption being as long as thread is open and member has not had thread closed or have statement to that effect the offer is still available. Similar type posts are: Any one?; Any one else?; All links approved, ...
6. Multiple posts in a row where you can still edit the prior post.
7. Posts restating info found in post above or previous posts such as
High bid now $30.
8. Posts giving order status info. (This type info relates to one individual and belongs in a PM)
9. Posts giving pertinent information regarding sales/trades/auctions that should have been placed in opening post in thread. Failure to state pertinent info and adding this info later may result in a bumping infraction.
It is impossible to make an exhaustive list. This list is only designed to serve as a guideline. Always, ask yourself the following question before posting, If my competitor were to make the post I am about to make, would I report it as a bump?
Having a friend to bump your thread by singing the praises of you or your product is inappropriate as well.
Remember those who bump a thread, delete post and rebump (bump deleters) immediately receive nine bumping infractions for such practice.
Hint for service providers: If you need to make a canned type response to multiple members, try setting up your response using Firefox and InFormEnter .
