Anyway, there is a new propaganda in the forum about Ranking with Content alone, Ranking with Backlinks, Content matters, Backlinks is the only thing that matters..... blah blah blah
It's very sad to see everyone trying to market what serves them best. Matt Cuts, Moz and other google boys, just build content and forget about it. We as a Blackhat forum should defend that and say that you need backlinks to make money >>>> WRONG !!!
We are supposed to be the best IM forum on the net, so we should have informational, bulletproof, tried data. This is why I chose to step in and make this post. So, enough of bluffing and lets get into business
Goal of the Thread: YOU CAN MAKE MONEY WITH CONTENT ALONE !!!!
So, it's not if backlinks work, because we all know they work ! They work now better than before, SEO is becoming a lot easier, but, it costs money ! Anyway, this thread isn't to prove backlinks are worthless or doesn't work, it is also not here to prove content is king !?!?! ( I have no idea who made up this content king shit ! ) it's here to prove that you can make money with Content alone. Enough money to make a living
And the most hopeful member, would say.. Sure you can rank with content alone
- Write 1000 articles
- let them 5 years
- hope for the best !
Actually it's the exact quote from a friend here which shocked me coming from him, I decided to make this thread
For this thread I chose a pretty small website, to eliminate the 1000 articles sayers', and it's pretty young too, 9 months old website
Here are the Statistics:
Number of indexed page : 20
Number of actual earning articles : 11
DA : 13
But we all know Moz analytics isn't trustable, we all love Majestic more, so here is the screen shot ( of course I blacked some info for privacy)
Referring domain are Alexa, list of domain ....etc , I will show backlinks screenshot in a second. But how many traffic does this website brings?
25,000 traffic from 11 articles, and over 1800 keywords

First : Let's look at the stats of the inner page
Great, 0 Backlinks and 6000 visitor/ month. Ranking for 450 Keywords with no backlinks. You might thinks, this should be really shitty keywords, don't you ?
Wow, I must have some pretty strong page metrics
Well, this is weird... Emmm .. Backlinks ?
2 Do-follow and from not even in the context, look at those number
This ends it for this website, I will let you imagine the strength of weaker pages. As you can see from the number of keywords it ranked in, it ranks for the main keyword with all its long tails. Actually, it dominates this specific keyword. How long did it take this website to be make money, check the second pic, less than 2 months and 4 articles
1 - If you write content and hope it will rank, It WON'T. If you write 100 articles and hope they rank on their own, THEY WON'T. You have to do two things ( Right Keyword Research + Prefect on page optimization )
2 - You can MAKE MONEY WITH CONTENT ALONE ...
3 - Don't think it's easy, building links is actually easier, this is why everyone is taking the backlinks approach
4 - The most important one, IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU, IT DOESN'T MEAN IT WON'T WORK FOR OTHERS
5 - TALK ONLY ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE TESTED ( you ranked with backlinks, great for you.. But this doesn't mean you can't make money without backlinks!)
6 - Don't Listen to everything in the forum, Forum is to give you ideas. Some people say spun content doesn't work, others say it works, don't listen to any of them, So, Spinning Content is the idea, try to see if it works or not !
