Hello everyone and I hope you're all doing well today! :)

Recently we have been doing some testing and I wanted to inform the community of our findings. I wont go into deep details on our experiments but you will see some obvious results.

1. We took two websites of the same niche with the same backlink profile.
2. We have a total of 5 niches which had a total of 10 sites. (2 sites per niche)
3. We added 100 PBN links to each site.
4. One of the sites per niche is using G00gle analytics and the other is not using any analytics.

Our results.....

Every site in each niche (5 total) that was using GA has slow to medium movement. Nothing to brag to mom about. Typical movement.

Every site in each niche (5 total) that was NOT using analytics had MASSIVE and I mean extreme movement. All keywords were in top 5.

I suggest you do your own testing and experiments and see for yourself. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/25295-gorang.html created a thread http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/641006-its-time-you-ditched-gmail-chrome-wmt-ga.html?highlight=gmail about how we should not use gmail and I 100% agree with him. Well I also suggest you stop using G analytics too. ESPECIALLY now that they are collecting data via disavow tool.

Have a good day!

I cant believe the ranking is so different with and without analytics

Is everything the same from site to site like content quality

yes each niche related site literally has the same exact link porfolio

Thanks for the info.

How about Webmaster tools and sitemap submissions? Did you register any of the sites in WMT and submit sitemaps for crawl?

Thanks.

Thanks for the share, as previously mentioned by another member it is amazing the difference that was seen between having GA installed and not having GA installed. Definitely something to note, there's plenty of alternatives to GA so it'd be best to just track your traffic with another. While the link profile was the same (or nearly the same), was the competitiveness for each site the same as well? Also, over what duration of time were these changes seen?

What about using google webmaster tools??? Does using it or not using it also have any effect??

I would click Thanks if I didn't use them up. Good thing I never bothered installing it on my site haha.

NIce finding, pretty consistent to my testing as well.

I was young and stupid, use GA and that totally fucked my money site.

Now i switched all of my domain to statcounter, more accurate and intime data. :1:

Thanks given!
Enjoy

Interesting. Luckily I never use GA anyway - statcounter all the way.

DAMN !! It's hard to believe that !! But keep updating .. it is just the starting .. the results may differ with time ! but i am going to test this myself and find out too !! Thanks for the share

Thanks a lot. Actually I had removed my google analytics once from a money site lets say 3 months ago and I did receive more organic traffic after some time, but I didn't really connected it this way.

I have been using Statcounter for around 5 years now. Can't recommend it enough.

Thanks OP for your test.

Thanks for the info,I have stop using analyltics some time ago and had better serp improvement afterwards.

I'm totally in support of been weary with you say on Gmail and also avoid Google analytic. I learnt about this since the initial panda updates and thought it was the biggest joke of the century. After recently reading how a dude got harassed in U.S for searching on Google.com "how to make atomic bomb", I think everything is now possible. A simple word spam filter can trigger alarm and that's makes the rest easy.. Don't hate me for being skeptical.

Thanks for sharing OP!

This is shocking in a way and may be not so in another way.

I can share something with you all. I have a website that after getting on the 1st page of G after 3-4 months, just dropped to 10th page. I remove GA and that is the only thing I do. and within only a week, it was back to the 1st page! :)

I think they MUST take Bounce Rate and Traffic estimates into ranking and thats how they 'calculated' that the website I had didnt 'deserve' to be on the 1st page.

we have NOT tested what would happen if you had GA and then removed it. Personally I think if you had it installed once you are shit out of luck. We do plan on doing that type of test but that wont be until later this year.
