Help Fill in the Blanks of my Tier 1 Plan

Looking for some help with filling in the blanks on my Tier 1 plan - if you have experience with this I'd love to hear from you.

I've been lurking here for a while, learning (slowly) and the like. I'm preparing to re-launch a website of mine. It did good back in the day (pre 05) but I dropped off the IM scene then for a while. Coming back time has changed... my old 10 page site with 2000's html doesn't rank like it did So I'm completely revamping it. I've mined my keyword data stretching back for 10 years, and as a result I have a lot of long tail keywords in an excel file (40k+) for which my site has attracted traffic in the past. Using my advanced excel filtering skills I'm grouping them into categories. Long story short, I have a list of thousands of pages that need to be built to target long tail keywords for this new site launch. Thankfully I have a fair grasp on my content matter and can do a lot of this myself. I've started running them through UNF in order to filter and hit the easy ones first, which has kept my computer busy full time finding proxies and loading them into UNF. ANYWAY!

Important Point: I am rolling out some of my Tier 1 BEFORE my main site launch. Hoping to get some authority and possibly PR onto it ahead of time so it's not all *new* sites linking to the money. Is this a good idea?

I am planning out my Tier 1. I'm going to post it (and my thoughts) here along with some questions, which I hope some of you can answer. Here's the basic outline of what I expect my Tier 1 to look like...


1) Microsites/Blogs
2) Web 2.0's
3) Social Bookmarks
4) Article Directories
5) Videos
6) Document Sharing
7) Social - FB, Tw, Pinterest, G+

So my first question - is there anything there that I am missing that I should include in my Tier 1?

Further details on how I plan to build this (and please throw out suggestions for any part of this)

1) Microsites/Blog Network Plan (est time: 3-6 months. Target number of sites: 10)

• I plan on finding expired/auction domains with a decent link profile with my keywords in the URL (a keyword) and hopefully PR1+
• Throw up a WP site with a quick BHW theme
• Obviously host at all different locations/IP's
• Setup a social profile for each site (FB page, G+, TW, Pinterest Etc) to hopefully make them believable
• Schedule Content for these
• Use them to link to my money site & authority sites

Places where I'm unclear on this part of the plan which you can help 1) What is the best tool to manage multiple WP sites? What should I do to avoid footprints? (1 money link per site?)

2) Web 2.0 (est time: 2 months. Target number of Properties: 4k)

• I've done some research and I am going to use FCS for this. It should manage/create everything (from what is describes itself as) seamlessly.
• I'm going to have a BHW content provide give me some ultra-spun content (5 sentence rewrites w paragraph alternates, phrase/word spun) for which I am sure I will pay through the nose. Whatever it saves me writing 4k different articles
• FCS scrapes/adds images and videos and linking patterns

Areas for Clarification: What do I need to do to look out for footprints? 1 link per property to money? Should I link these to my microsites/blogs above or is that obvious to the Big G?

3) Social Bookmarks (est time: post launch, no ETA)

• I'm going to create a list of each page on my site, along with descriptions. Spin the crap out of them (sentence/phrase/word)
• Then I'm going to turn them over to someone like Crork Services and make him work like a dog submitting them. He doesn't know it yet so don't break the news. Hand created only, not the mass blast stuff

Areas for Clarification: am I wrong with my thinking here? Is that going to tank my site using a service like that? I've heard good stuff about Crork but am unsure about any Fiverr service to be honest.

4) Article Directories (est time: post launch, no ETA)

• Plan is to again use my killer long tail keywords list to come up with a million different topics to write articles on. I will most likely write the articles and then add the paragraph alternates and then turn them over to BHW for the sentence/phrase/word spinning.

Areas for Clarification: unsure of the best way of submitting to article directories. Should I be using may different accounts? One account with lots of articles linking to money site is a huge footprint for G no? Is there an efficient way to do this?

5) Videos (est time: post launch, no ETA Cost: hopefully $50/video from BHW)

• I plan on using whiteboard videos as I have no idea how I would even begin with the other kind. Scripts will be based on the pages I've already created for my money site.

Areas for Clarification: When I am uploading these videos to sharing sites, should I be using all different accounts? Also, is my channel page the Tier 1 link that I would backlink to? or the actual video page?

6) Documents

• I plan on using BHW service to re-write the pages off my website with sentence alternates and phrase/word spun. Throw in random scraped images for those keywords

Areas for Clarification: Again, when uploading should I be using a million different accounts? For each document?

7) Social

• I am unsure how this works.Is this basically the 1 FB, Pinterest, G+, Tw accounts for my money site are the tier 1 here? Or should I be creating lots of those accounts and all at random intervals link to the money site. Kinda like a blog network but with social accounts? Not sure how this is going to work, need some help here

That is my plan. I'm hoping to get some clarification on these points as well as suggestions on the points I'm obviously weak at. Social, document, video etc. All of it actually and anything I've missed/forgotten or even helpful pointers.

This is an awesome post. I've been thinking about this same stuff. As far as the actual links, do you just plan on doing naked links for all your teir one? http: //www.mysite.com and http: //www.mysite.com/coolpage.html ?

I could be totally wrong, but I think I remember reading that using naked urls in your tier 1 protects your site from the whole penguin update thing. I'm still trying to find out if you should mix in keywords or just use them for your Tier 2. Just wondering what you planned on doing there.

As far as how to link the websites up, there was an awesome tutorial on link building by someone here who had pictures and everything he went through what a link wheel was, a link pyramid, the different types of link juice. I'll try to find it and update my post.

If you can find that tutorial on the link building diagram I would love it. It would give me something to go on at least. I have a small idea how I am going to link the web 2.0's, but the rest I am not super certain about. Hoping to come across something in BHW in the mean time to give me direction.

In response to your question about using naked url's in my tier 1... I am really not sure. My *theory* at this point is that if I create a link using naked urls from more authoritative sites then my money site should rank more easily for whatever keywords the pages are optimized for. It's a theory, no more. If it's true then I would also be less likely to get penguin slapped. I am really unsure about this so far. It's up in the air at the moment, and I don't have to decide right now though as I am still building my Tier 1 and not linking it yet.

Update: I am working on expanding my Tier 1 rapidly as possible. I now have 4 Tier 1 sites each with a page authority of 30+ (is that decent?). Need to get 6 more up hopefully within the next month. That would have my tier 1 microsites done.

Tier 1 Web 2.0's - kind of dragging my feet with these. I snapped up rankwyz's little sale for $20/yr for access to their basic project and am planning on slowly building some decent 2.0's with keywords in the urls' out... I'm not having much luck with bulk account creation tools despite having private virgin proxies and non-free email addressess... probably me doing something wrong though.

Thinking of contracting this out here on BHW.

The rest hasn't even been started as I'm not sure where.

Web 2.0's - I have 100 working web 2.0's to which I am posting articles. I am going to get a few decent articles on the sites and then start backlinking these. Hopefully that will make a difference as I don't believe Google has found any yet.

10 Microsites/PBN - one thing I'm running into is these microsites has a life of their own. One of my blogs is now getting 200+ UV/day. Which is WAAAY more than my money site. Not sure what to do with this. I may start setting up email capture or adsense or something. Totally unsure. Anyone else have this... problem?

Are you using spun content on your web 2.0's, and how long did it take you to manually set them all up? What platforms are you using?

Your tier 1 looks complete to me.
