How To Use IFTTT To Save Time, Money & Automate

If you haven't heard of If This Then That then let me explain quickly.

Basically it allows you to connect web services so they work together.

For example

1) Everytime your tagged in a photo on Facebook, save a copy to DropBox
2) Everytime a new post is published via RSS, save a copy to Evernote (blog backup ^^)
3) Everytime you change your twitter photo, update your facebook photo
4) Get a text message when a stock price goes over a certain amount

The uses are endless and I use it all the time on my blog from creating content through to general management and organisation.

You will just need to click few buttons and it will start working (i know it's great).But, never though it will need a tut(it's toooooooo easy).

Can IFTTT add information on Excel documents? That would be great for automating minor account keeping tasks!

Not with excel directly but it can add to/update Google spreadsheet documents!

i use it to create posts with some feeds and some with google calendar but don't know if it leave a footprint somewhere regarding a PBN,
i was planning to use it too for the same thing so interested to know,

There are certainly all the recipes in place to do it although I'm not sure how you could get past the unique content issue.

It's easy to take multiple RSS feeds and merge them with rssmix to get a mix of content, images, videos etc and feed that into tumblr blogs or whatever.

Thanks guys - you can also check out https://zapier.com/ which connects with some things IFTTT doesn't if you get stuck!
