I thought i'd start a thread listing as many backlink types as possible.... not only will it help others out, newbies that only know a few link tpyes can then research more into grabbing certain link types.

Here's a few to start off :

Web 2.0's
Wiki links
Blog comments
Pad submission
Video submission
Social Bookmarks
Directory submission
Article links
Rss feed's
Profile links
Private blog networks
Social Signals
Yahoo Answer links


Feel free to add more types... The more added the more helpful to everyone to diverse there backlinking profile.

We are all here to make a living, why not help each other out!!! it's what this forum is about right?

This is a great idea but lets take it a step further...Lets sort it out by type. Meaning Web 2.0 = Tier 1 Forum Profiles = Tier 2, 3 etc. This way we all can have a guide of the good Tier 1 links (money site) and how to power them up with Tier 2,3 4 links.
My version (only my opionion to make them safer during what may be a huge penguin update)
Web 2.0's = T1
Wiki links =T2
Blog comments = T1 for high PR manual niche related T2 for everything else
Pad submission = T1
Video submission = T1
Social Bookmarks = T1 or T2-3-4
Directory submission =T1
Article links =T2
Rss feed's =T2-3-4
Profile links =T2-3-4
Private blog networks =T1
Social Signals = T1
Yahoo Answer links =T1

There's gotta be some secret link types out there, that people have never thought off.

Review sites (like yelp)
Music sharing sites (like purevolume)
 
classified sites
short url sites that have an info page for each url with a link on it
