Can someone clarify web 2.0 sites to blast with scrapebox?

I keep hearing people say they recommend blasting a web 2.0 page in scrapebox, with links to their money sites, but never their money sites directly. I'm assuming this is to avoid akismet ban?
Can someone explain to me what kind of 2.0 sites would be appropriate? Maybe point me to an example of what a good one looks like?

Look around on the popular web 2.0 properties like hubpages, squidoo, terapad and the like.

So basically when you are blasting these web 2.0 pages in scrapebox, how does this help your money site get better ranking? It seems like a very indirect and thus unreliable way to do it.

Comment blast happens in mass. 5000 in one go... 10K or even 50K in one blast. So directing it to your main money website may lead you to severe problem like 'akismet ban', 'sandbox' etc. because this is definitely not a natural link development in the Big G eyes and that too from one single platform.

So what you should do is creating web2.0 properties (hubpages, wordpress, livejournal etc.) and while commenting through scrapebox, do not link to your money website. instead pass the link juice to your web2.0 properties and web2.0 properties will pass the linkjuice to your money website/.//

You blast comments with link to squidoo.com/yoursquid and in your squidoo page is link to your money site.

Am I right?

Just watch out for Hubpages I've seen other threads that have said they are banning Hubs that get a lot of links suddenly. The thinking is Blog owners complain to Hubpages about all the comment spam they're getting and Hubpages then pulls the plug on you.

A web 2.0 site is just a free site that you can use to post your content to. People use them to use them to host all kinds of content for many purposes.

These sites already have authority in Google's eyes and they get a lot of backlinks to them everyday which means you can point a lot of backlinks to them and get away with it most of the time.

As far as how many links varies, so you just have to test that on your own. Just remember that consistency is very important in any backlinking campaign.
