How to track traffic and Conversions on third party Webpage?

Hi guys,

Really need your help big time with this one..

I'd be launching display campaign to promote a JV product on a partner's webpage. Please provide some instructions that I can follow in order to track my campaign traffic and conversions.. I maynot be allowed to add some codes to his(thirdparty) entire site but would be allowed on the particular promotion page for sure.
So should I use Google Analytics, Google url builder, etc..? Kindly provide some knowledge on this with instructions if possible. Also, how exactly to set the Goal Conversion thingy? Is all this possible from my Google Analytics account? What if that thirparty site already uses GA? I'm little(actually lot) confused..

Would you have access to the Google Analytics for that page?

It's very hard if you cannot add some tracking code to their website, because even if you use a custom URL without JS it wont be able to pass the URL on to your website.

I do not have any access to the GA for that site/page. I don't even know yet if they use GA or not. I shall find it out soon!

Case 1: Let's assume they use GA. So what best can be done here?
Should I create a GA property and ask them to add my code too on the particular webpage where my products are featured? Or, should I ask them to add me as a user(read-only) to their GA account?

Case 2: Lets say they don't use GA. So I would create a GA property here. Would it be fine if I ask them to add this GA code only to the particular webpage where my products are instead of entire site?

First of all, you need tracking options because you want to know how profitable your ads are running and optimize it so if they dont have Analytics or cant add a pixel code for you, move on to someone who is giving you this option.

I recommend Analytics profile because you can get more data than from a pixel. They have a few options:
1. They can create you a profile and filter it give access to a dashboard based on some conditions you will put in tracking your traffic; for instance you can set:
source: display
medium: cpc
campaign: %yourname

and you will only have access to this traffic.
Also make sure they do have goals set up because most likely they wount give you edit access so you can create it.

I believe this is the best option.

2. They can add your Analytics code on the checkout page but you wount get too much info. If they accept this option, try at least to add it on the previous step as well so you can see whats working and whats not working, create remarketing lists etc.

3. Tracking pixel -> Wount give you anything more than numbers:
I`ve invested $500, I got 500 clicks and 5 conversions.
