Please note that keyword density is a fairly meaningless measure of relevancy, but using a keyword density analysis tool can make it easier to find a few good keyword phrases to use.

  • Search engines may place significant weight on domain age, site authority, link anchor text and usage data.

Naturally, if your keyword density is overly low, you may be getting too few visitors to count for any hustle-bustle kind of business because your website will be simply too obscure to generate any interest at all. And neither will it be an ideal situation if the keyword density is too high, as this will result in keyword spamming. Therefore, a good balance has to be achieved to ensure long-lasting success.

    You can find out about the exact density of a keyword in relation to the content of a certain web page with the keyword density checking tool. To use it, simply enter your web page address and then click on the ‘Go’ button. The results will be presented in percentages of each keyword without the inclusion of stop words which are irrelevant to the search. For example, in the phrase ‘traveling to Namibia’, the stop word is ‘to’ and the search result will only assign percentages to the words ‘traveling’ and ‘Namibia’.
