    Hey guys!

    I've always been using tweetlater to bulk upload my tweets.. unfortunately they changed it a few days ago and now you can bulk upload your tweets only with the paid version of tweetlater.

    Can anyone tell me where I can bulk upload my tweets else?

    well just took a look on hootstuite ...
    It seems that it is not possible to bulk upload your tweets.. it's only possible to schedule your tweets.. unfortunately it's not that what I need...

    Isn'T there an other free possibility?

    Twitter Adder Pro can manage your Tweets, it's not as simple as TweetLater was but it can still do the job if you're doing less than 100 Tweets and hour. (API Limits)

    There is Small Twitter Tool and Hummingbird Clone - TwitterGetter, what other features would you like to see although the latter seems to have been abandoned .....

    well tweetlater pissed me off. I can't login to my account and they don't respond to my tickets. so I did a little search and found something, modified it and now it fill my needs :). Here it is - write your tweets as table entries and set up cron for this.

    PHP:
    <?php
    // Set username and password
    $username 'username';
    $password 'password';
    // The message you want to send

    srand ((double) microtime() * 10000000);
    $input = array ("tweet1""tweet2""tweet3");

    $num array_rand($input);
    $message $input[$num];

    // $message = 'still writing new blog posts';
    // The twitter API address
    $url 'http://twitter.com/statuses/update.xml';
    // Alternative JSON version
    // $url = 'http://twitter.com/statuses/update.json';
    // Set up and execute the curl process
    $curl_handle curl_init();
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_URL"$url");
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT2);
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER1);
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_POST1);
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_POSTFIELDS"status=$message");
    curl_setopt($curl_handleCURLOPT_USERPWD"$username:$password");
    $buffer curl_exec($curl_handle);
    curl_close($curl_handle);
    // check for success or failure
    if (empty($buffer)) {
        echo
    'message';
    } else {
        echo
    'success';
    }
    ?>

    Cheers man, If this script can really do what tweetlatter does and also have an option to be able to BULK UPLOAD TWEETS that would be insane!!

    For us guys who dont know exactly how to set this up, Would you be kind enough to post a noob friendly step by step instructions on how to set this up on our servers? And also how to get it set up to bulk upload tweets on different accounts.

    See im sure what most of us want is to be able to upload a whole list of tweets for one account that will automatically post the tweets over a month or so, and then also be able to do the same for another account. A complete set and forget script just like tweet later.

    Can your helpful script do this?

    Ok, so here it's a quick guide. You need a hosting with PHP and cron to use is. It's quite different from tweetlater because it posts random tweets from the tweet table.

    Step 1:
    Put your twitter username and password into the following part of the script:

    $username = 'username';

    $password = 'password';

    For each twitter account you'll need a separate file.

    Step 2:
    Enter your tweets into the following part of the script:

    $input = array ("tweet1", "tweet2", "tweet3");

    for instance it should look like this:

    $input = array ("going to the gym", "reading BHW forum", "having kinky fun with my gf", "listening to MJ songs");

    You can add a lot of these messages. I use about 500-700 for every account and I schedule them to post every 2-3 hours.

    Step 3:
    Save the file as twitter1.php (or anything you want) and upload the .php file to your web hosting account so you'll get http://yoursite.com/twitter1.php. Now put your browser to it. You should see a simple message - "success". Now take a look at you twitter timeline - a new random message is posted. And the best part - the footer of this message shows "from the web" instead of "tweetlater" or whatever.

    Step 4:
    Automate the process: set up a cron job on your hosting account to run http://yoursite.com/twitter1.php every 2 or 3 hours. You can do it through cPanel - read your hosting provider wiki/faq how to do it.

    That's all. It's simple but effective. The hardest part is to get a list of messages. Here's how I did this in... MS Excel :)

    1. write a list of 10-15 verb-like phrases such as "thinking of", "writing article related to", "browsing the net for" and put in the first column of an excel sheet.

    2. get a list of noun-like keywords related to your niche from g00gle keyword tool and put it in second column, something like this: "weight loss", "acai berry diet" etc.

    3. join these two colums using excel's funcion. you'll get results in the third column: "thinking of weight loss", "browsing the net for acai berry diet" etc. <- these are perfect tweets!

    4. add results from third column to the script $input = array ( ...) You can try to use Notepad++ for this. Remember that your tweets must be in the following format: "message1", "message2".

    I hope this is helpful.

    Looks good. I'm surprised this thread hasn't disappeared to the "Donated" forum.

    Would it be possible to write a script that imports that arrays from a text or cvs? Copy and pasting each one is a bit time consuming.

    I would just make a list of one post per line like: (10 0r ten thousand = same thing)

    going to the gym
    reading BHW forum
    having kinky fun with my gf
    listening to MJ songs

    then use find/replace to find and delete the line returns and add the quotes and commas back to:
    "going to the gym", "reading BHW forum", "having kinky fun with my gf", "listening to MJ songs" <-- with NO line returns
    that it needs for this format.

    Here's about 1500 tweets but you'll have to clean them up before you can use in a feed file .....

    Thanks! This is awesome. The only question I have is this - when I post using this, it shows posted by API not posted by Web. ANything I missed? Thanks! Keep up the good work!

    Not really. I asked the same question and from what I can tell any method that posts with the API will show that unless the app is registered with twitter, etc which will then show as "from app" ..
