I just joined Hostgator's Affiliate program, hoping to earn some good from it.
So, now the question is that where can I promote my affiliate links ??

First way, creating a hosting review blog and placing codes and banners on the blog.

    Any other way ?

What bross tried to tell you is that we all came here being newbies and went through the hard work of finding a method of our own. Why would we give that to you? You should do what we did! No spoonfeeding here bro, Im sure other members will tell you the exact same thing.

    Well, ok though.
I might be newbie to affiliate marketing but I am not a newbie to Internet Marketing.
As I have made some good money with it.

Still, thanks for your advice. :)

Ok, I have placed banners on some of my general web directories and had 1 hosting conversion but with lunarpages. Try buying ad places for cheap in highly trafficked sites of general webmaster interest.

There are plenty of blog owners who sell ad spaces in 125x125 banner form.

    Just a tip.

there was a method on here long ago where the guy was hitting up local business owners and offering a free website if they sign up for hosting with host gator. so he was earning the affiliate commission from them and could do up a quick site for the business.

Really ? For 97$, they give a one month banner space ??

My method that's working very well:

I've created 4 blogs and websites but not about hosting, reviews, or anything like that.
I consider that saturated. Instead I filled them up with free templates.
No gateways, no ads, nothing just pure free web template downloads.

People who are looking for templates are actually need to host them somewhere..
So simply make them register on the site to download, collect emails, then hit them up with your aff links from time to time.

It's working pretty well for me, and it's almost passive.

Very simple and efficient method I guess.

    Good luck mate :)

PS: i don't use hostgator, everyone knows about them already, i use other hosting affs.

Hope I could help a bit.

I find that for promoting hosting services, offline marketing works best. You should focus on your local business community and promote your service to the SME businesses.
