    Hi guys,

I have an adult website in which there is a free pics gallery. I've taken those pics from random websites on the internet, some of them already have watermarks others don't, however what I've done is I've replaced the original watermarks with my own website's watermark.

Would Plugrush be OK with this? Do they tolerate such practices, or do they care for copyrights and stuff?

    Thanks

i think it would've been better if you left the original watermarks on the pics rather than changing them

I read the title as 'Watermelon porn pics'. I was intrigued to say the least!

Dude, you are going to get a DMCA takedown order to your hosting company if you replace the original watermarks on adult images.

You should worry about the company who created the pictures more than PlugRrush itself.

The adult biz for content creators is not what it used to be and now they are even more concerned to protect their investment. Don't risk it man, I know there is a chance that you get away with it, but if they find your site/images with another watermark that's not theirs you are going to have a hell of a bad time.

A number of members of this forum got in trouble for watermarking videos with their site instead of the original and shit, stay away from unnecessary trouble.

    Thanks for the info, man.

What if I don't replace the original watermark, but I add my own watermark on the pic? Would this also be in violation with the DMCA?

I assume you are watermarking because you are concerned that maybe someone else will steal them from your site, right?
So if someone does that you will get type-in traffic from their website?

It's just not worth it man. If you are not the content creator you have no real interest in protecting your investment, you have almost no chance of one of for stolen images going viral and probably you could still get into trouble.

I mean, you are already using someones else image without putting the referral link to the sponsor (I say this because you are using PR ads instead of the affiliate ones), you could at least have the images unaltered.

Now, if you want to have shitloads of free content to use on your site, why don't yo go the the watermark in the URL (assuming it has not been already changed by other dude) and search for the "affiliate" or "webmasters" link at the bottom of the page?

You can combine the sponsor's hosted images/videos and an affiliate link to them with your PR ads. This way you'll be allowed to use all the images that they offer to their affiliates for promotion instead of having to go from site to site stealing from other sources, and, as a plus, you'll get the chance to get a sell commission ($35ish normally) if they click on your aff link and end buying a membership.
