    Hello buddies

It has been a while since posted something useful, so, let me post a nice little tutorial today for those who are entering twitter marketing. Almost all of us know that the follower-list can be increased by mass following and unfollowing big twitter users. Many of us use tweetadder like softwares to do so.

This tutorial belongs to those who cannot afford to buy a software for this. An older version of this method was posted here a few years back, but I am going to use iMacro to achieve this.

    Tools Needed:

    1. Firefox browser ( No, don't use chrome. Use Latest version of Firefox only)

    2. iMacro Addon for Firefox available at :

    Code:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imacros-for-firefox/
    3. Launch Clipboard 1.9 available at :

    Code:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/launch-clipboard/
    4. List of Top 100 tweeter accounts in terms of follower list available at :

    Code:
    http://twittercounter.com/pages/100

    Step 1:

Launch Firefox and Install iMacro and Launch Clipboard plugin. Restart Firefox to activate them.

    Step 2:

Create two text files named urls.txt and followmacro.iim.

    Step 3:

Now, go to twittercounter and pick 20-30 profiles and try to choose the profiles with the biggest fan lists. Save those urls in urls.txt and separate each of them by a newline.

    Step 4:

Now, go to urls.txt and copy all of the links -> Launch firefox, close all the tabs (if any tab is open) and press ALT + SHIFT + K. Click on Yes / Allow if you get an warning box (make sure you don't have more than 30 urls in urls.txt). All the links in urls.txt must now be open in tabs inside your browser.

    Step 5:
Open followmacro.iim and paste the following ( iMacro version might differ. Please check what's yours)
    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8300326 RECORDER=FX
Now, for each url, you need the following snippet ( number of url should match with the number of snippets, or the macro will not run):
    Code:
    TAB T=1
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

So, if you have, e.g. 7 urls, paste the code above 7 times and increase the value of T by 1 for each snippet pasted, so the file should now look like :

    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8300326 RECORDER=FX

    TAB T=1
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=2
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=3
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=4
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=5
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=6
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=7
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

At the end, let's add 10 minutes of delay for each loop, so that twitter doesn't fry our ass:p (Also pay attention to the fact that I have added a 5 seconds delay for each steps too. You might like to vary them for each step, so that it looks more like a human clicking the buttons rather than a bot)
    Code:
    WAIT SECONDS=600
Save the file and it should now look like :

    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8300326 RECORDER=FX

    TAB T=1
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=2
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=3
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=4
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=5
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=6
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    TAB T=7
    FRAME F=0
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Follow<SP>Following<SP>Unfollow<SP>Blocked<SP>Unblock<SP>Pen*

    WAIT SECONDS=600

    Step 6:
Now, go to the firefox window where you previously opened the tabs, and switch iMacro plugin on. In the iMacro sidebar, click on Rec tab and click on Load button and select followmacro.iim as the file.

    Step 7:
All done now! Just click on the Play tab -> enter 9999 in the Max loop count and click on Play(Loop) and enjoy!

P.S. : Don't be greedy. What you are doing is against twitter's policy. So be careful! Once you reach 100 followers for the day, stop it. On the next day, you already have the urls and macro ready! Just repeat the steps as necessary.

I know that this is not unknown to most of the senior members here, but I have seen people asking how to run a macro script. So, this might be a good tutorial for them too!

great idea, but I tried everything and I am getting a syntax error. It may be the version build, but I am pretty sure mine is 8300326 as well. IDK

edit: Okay I saw you changed your post, I got it now!

    Thanks for this man!

I fixed it, I was using the code without any seperate lines like you had it posted at the very beginning. But I changed it so everything is a seperate line so it all works now.

    thanks

Awesome! With TA's new policy and version things are getting a lot tougher than they were, so this could end up coming in really useful :)

This may be a stupid question.. when you say the URL's, you're talking about the twitter page link I'm assuming, not the twitter counter link? #noob

Now that we're reading about the imminent demise of TweetAdder, this may be the solution to follow/unfollow.

EDIT : I checked this yesterday allready and tried today. Cant import my iim file. I use latest version of Imacros, i see the version 8.3.0 but can't find the build number. Thats the problem i am using your exact version + build number.

Can you help me out how to find the build number for my version? Or is this not the problem?

    Thanks

    Hi
TO find out the version number, go to Rec tab and click on Record and Stop. Then go to edit tab and click on Edit Macro. You can find the version number on the first line. By the way, if you can't import the file, then paste the content of the iim file in the open editor and click on save.
