    Hi,

I've been fairly successful with writing reviews for affiliate products, but feel like I could tweak my CTR some. Is there any good "template" for such reviews? I tend to write:

    - Intro. Questions, try to engage reader

    - Product, what is it? What do you get?

    - Pros

    - Cons

    - Call to action

I don't want to sell products too hard, but still want to pre-sell a bit. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Anyone? I've read a few books on copy writing -- some targeting writing fro web in particular. Still can't find anything on this; all I can find is on sales letters (and that's too much for an affiliate blog).

I don't know, my advice to you is to study what infomercials do in offering products. Create scarcity, tell them the order will only last for so long, tell them it's a great value and that it has a higher value than the price it's being sold for. Say there's only so many and they won't be available for long. Tell them how it'll change their lives and why they can't live without it, tell them they'd be missing out if they didn't get it. Tell them it's revolutionary in its design and has the ability to drastically change life as they know it, tell them it's easy to buy and use, tell them it's safe and secure to order.

Basically just tell them what they want to hear, which is basically that it's properly priced, make them feel like they're getting a deal or saving money, tell them that it'll save them time and make their lives easier, tell them ordering is secure so they feel safe spending, and tell them delivery is prompt. If you need more ideas then watch infomercials or the shopping channel and listen to the shit they say and how they pitch the product, that should give you enough ideas, mine were just off the top of my head.

I'd like to share the 8 powerful sub-headings we use every time we write Amazon or ClickBank product reviews.

    1. Brief Product Description
    2. What Comes in the Box
    3. Product Features & Technical Details
    4. Short Summary of Feedback From Existing Owners
    5. Pros of Product
    6. Cons of Product
    7. Who Should Buy This Product
    8. Conclusion and Recommendation

My review template is a bit like this...

    Introduction
What the product is / features
    Who the product is for
    Pro's & Con's
    Alternatives
    Testimonials / Reviews from others
Where to buy / price guarantee
    My final thoughts
    Summary / whether I recommend
    Call to action

I'll obviously have various call to actions / links to the product through the review too.

Pro Blogger have an article called How to Write a Must-read Product Review that is good.
