    Hey,
I am starting a blog in high paying niche, the competition is tough but I have a way out. Now my question is, what factors would determine that my blog is really based on that niche? for ex, if I start posting related articles and add that high paying keyword in my meta tags and tags on each post. Is that all I need to do or there is something else I must do so that google considers my blog in that particular niche?

    Sorry I am a newbie

If keywords of a niche are hard to ranked at Google, you can consider other traffic sources. Social media, forums, Video submission, etc.

The articles you post determine your niche.

    Thanks for your answer.
I have one more question, suppose my niche is weight loss. I will post articles related to weight loss tips. Now the cpc of "Weight loss" and "weight loss tips" are different. "Weight loss tips" has almost 4 times lower cpc than "weight loss". How do I make sure than google adsense considers my blog under "weight loss" niche instead of "weight loss tips"? :/

    Hi OP,

I'm unsure of the actual ranking algorithms and in fact, no one ever does except for the creators themselves. However, I do have some tips/advice which may aid you in your ranking journey in the Big G's network.

Content - Nothing defeats content as you're going to demonstrate your understanding in providing fruitful information to the respective visitors of that particular niche. Content is king.

Theme - Do not use overly-optimized theme or indirect CTR-push techniques as this may disrupt customer's engagement process. Simply use plain & easy navigation type and in turn, visitors will like you and perform repetitive visits.

Link-building - There are so many BST out there touting their link=building strategies and methodologies but how many can actually provide a long-term ranking (2 - 5 years). I recommend you start small by building links on your own.

These three main points may be often reminded but in actual fact, how many of them did adhere to these rules? These three are often neglected hence resulting to the downfall of any blog, regardless of ranking or links.

    Good Luck,
    Commoner

If you want to monetize your blog with adsense, then i believe the ads which are displayed are related to the keywords in your content. So if you use "weight loss tips" as your main keyword then that's what the ads will be related to.

But if i were you i would frst focus on actually ranking the blog by finding low competition keywords, or else find other traffic methods..

Actually there are multiple factors of Google by which it determines which ads to displayed on blog/page. If you'll manage to rank your blog/website on "weight loss" term then def. you'll get mostly ads related to "weight loss" and it's CPC will be higher for sure. Google showing different ads and different CPC ads by Geo locations.

So if You want high CPC on your ads.. then get mostly visitors from English search engines (UK, USA, AUS, NZ, and other first world countries) So it's impossible to determine exactly which CPC ads we will get.. due to there are multiple algorithms used for it.

    Hello,
First of all you have at least 1 unique article per day in your blog. 500 words is OK.
Second - Try guest blogging - article with 1-2 links.
Third - Summit articles and links to free directories.
If you have enough money - try with Facebook ads with nice article.

    Success!

If you're entering into a competitive niche that's already got some heavy hitters you're going to have to create something better, unique or with a different angle that they have or no one will pay attention.

You can't just write about the same old tried and tested stuff that everyone else is and hope that Google and your target audience will take notice.

Also if you're going into the "weight loss INDUSTRY" then you need to REALLY niche down into a specific sub-niche as you cannot compete as an newbie individual with the big players in that area.

You need to drill down into something more specific, for example...

Weight loss > weight loss for men > weight loss for men over 50 > weight loss for men over 50 with heart problems.

Weight loss > weight loss for women > weight loss for women post pregnancy

Weight loss > weight loss for women > weight loss for women who want to lose 10kgs before they get married

The more specific you are the better as there will be less competition, you can be REALLY specific in your content and tailor it to a very specific type of person which will result in more conversions. Trying to target everyone using general content like "weight loss" appeals to no one.

The trick is to write REALLY epic content. Not generic stuff that everyone is read before. Not stuff that's 'OK'. Not stuff that's copied from elsewhere. EPIC content that other bloggers in the niche and your target audience love so much they'll share, link to, like it, tweet it, pin it and tell everyone about it.

Then get your epic content in front of your target audience through blog commenting, guest posting, forum marketing, interacting on social media hubs, via networking with authorities in your niche who might be interested in it.
