Hey guys, I've been thinking about it for a few years but I would love to get into ebay selling.

I have lots of activities online that help generate a bit of extra money for me but one of the main reasons I'd like to start is that I have bad anxiety, almost reclusive nature. Would love the chance to work from home.

Can anyone recommend a REPUTABLE guide, or anyone that could add me on skype and we could discuss?

    Would mean so much, cheers.

Hey. First of all it would be best to start reading from BHW Ebay section (http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f69-ebay/ ) There are lots and lots of guides regarding Ebay. There is no reputable guide, you can learn something even from a guide with 5 replies. You just have to read a lot to understand how Ebay works and also to learn some methods and best selling practices. Having the basics will help you come with some twists and if you'll add some will and perseverence you have a good recipe of becoming a successful Ebay seller. Start reading what I've told you and if you have any issues you can PM me with any question you have. Im not an Ebay expert but I know quite much about it and I'll do my best to help you. Good luck!

Sell everything you own, and then when you run out of things, look for new things to sell.

Since it's very easy to get banned, you should consider a stealth account, not in your name, to start experimenting with. Good luck!

ebay is a great place to sell, and its fun - you are your own boss :)
But prepare yourself for some "hard to please" buyers - you will get one sooner or later .
Here are my tips for you as a seller (from seller) :

1 - Try to post items same/next day - buyers are not going to be happy to wait 3 days for you to post, and could mark you down on "dispatch time" .

2 - Use "free p&p" - means you add it to the buy it now price or if its an auction, add it to starting price , the reason why its good to set as "free p&p" is because you automatically get 5* rating for "postage & packaging" .

3 - For "Buy it now" listings, select an option "immediete payment" , that means that buyers have to pay straight away - this will save you from having to deal with unpaid item disputes.

4 - Accept returns for whatever reason - buyers have up to 14 working days to change their mind (distance selling regs.)

    5 - Reply to all questions/messages within 24 hours .

6 - If buyer says they havent recived their item - ask them to check with their local sorting office , if its not there then refund in full , because if they open the case ebay will refund them anyway (with your money) and they might not be happy about it - so might leave you negative feedback - and you dont want too many of those ;)

7 - Keep proof of posting , you will need it to claim for compensation for any lost parcels from your post office.

8 - Keep proof/invoices for anything you buy to sell , as you will need this when making a claim with your post office for any undelivered/lost items .

9 - If you receive negative feedback - you will have an option to reply to it - keep it professional ! Lets say buyer leaves you negative "item arrived damaged" , you reply in a calm way "Please message me - happy to resend replacement or refund" or something like this .Once problem resolved , ask buyer to change feedback ;)

10 - If you sell lots of similar items, list them in one listing but add different options , this will save you money on listing fees . If you have 10 pairs of shoes in 5 different sizes , just make one listing and have 5 options for size :)

Read more about fees and anything you need to know on ebay website, there is plenty of info there :)

feedback feedback feedback... cannot stess that enough. if you want to have a long term business on ebay try to be very honest (specially at teh beginning) and helpful at the start to ensure you do not get a bad feedback. when you get a bad feedback plead with the buyer to change it.

Sell things out of your neighbours garage, when they run out of things move onto their neighbours.

Good place to start are Chinese sites like Dhgate.com and aliexpress and alibaba. You can find some good cheap shit on these sites, but best off to order in bulk and post items yourself.

Be honest with the buyers in the description, If the item has any dents, scratches, holes or any damages, be honest with the buyer and mention it in the description section, and/or take a picture of the damages. Honesty can draw buyers as well, and it would avoid problems with the buyers. However, I'm just starting to sell on ebay myself, and I've made $200 so far from the misc. items I have laying around the house.

Now, I'm planning to drive around to thrift stores and yard sales and finding different things that I could buy cheap and flip it on ebay for a profit.

You can also consider selling wholesale... start off with cheap things like; key chains, kitchen ware, books etc.

Your listed products description to be true to the best of your knowledge, clear visible pictures of the products, good customer services to answer any inquiry, proper packaging shipping.

Sell every thing you got & put listed product description , clear product description , then be a good customer service to answer any question/inquiry.
