    Hi,

I was planning on tying up with a few local content producers to make some videos and upload on youtube. I have no idea how much they pay or what the criteria for becoming a partner is currently ?

I have a lot of experience with blackhat marketing techniques and have a few websites that get a lot of traffic wanting to watch these videos.

    I've been a partner for a year now. I make about 30-35cents a day. Almost 6-7k views a day.

    So work that out lol

In the beginning they pay peanuts just like adsense. When you become top tier publisher, you would make more. The good part is that when other sites use your video, the potential to get paid is huge if you have lots of videos.

The key value is the link which is do follow, that youtube allows in the description. Since it is a raw link, do make sure you're using inner pages urls also.

Hmm that's low, I thought you can earn much more with that amount of traffic.

Partnership really depends on the genre of the content you produce.

For example if you are making Gaming related content then you can get in touch with large publishers like Machinima or Curse and they will be the ones who sponsor you. I've heard that income from these companies is anywhere between $1 - $3/1000 Video views. The views however are monitored and I think you are paid at that rate for top countrie views like US, UK, Canada etc. Not sure about this tho.

I find this very hard to believe.. I know people getting less views per day and earning more. To me it sounds like your liking as i read on a few youtube networks that they pay anywhere from $1-$4 per 1k Views.

    1. depends how popular you are top tier publishers make more
    2. if the ads are to do with your videos
    3. if your videos are good or not, if they are borderline spam people wont stay long enough to click your ads.

    just my opinion though.

This may help you if you want to try it. First put up a "tutorial" type video that has several parts. Choose a niche that is evergreen if you can, something like hobbies and crafts, phone usage, or anything else you can think of to stretch into 4 or more 5 minute videos. Think outside the box a bit and try to share something that is unique in it's approach to an old or common issue.

Let the niche itself drive the traffic (don't worry it will come if your keyword in your video title is on point plus tags). Once you get enough views and many people favorite your video to replay over and over to get your instructions Youtube WILL CONTACT YOU. Trust me on this. Just like websites, often good content is key. Putting up a BS video with a link to go elsewhere may work short term, but I'm seeing those types everywhere now and people are getting saavy not to click them.

I became a partner by this very mistake/oversight, etc. just simply and honestly trying to help people learn something. Yes, it may take some time to create the videos, but once they are up you can profit from this in other ways as well. Have a website for this niche and then tell those who ask additional questions about the instructions to visit your website for clarity. Have a total guide or some other supporting info there and monitize it as you like or start a mailing list from it etc. Many ways to get paid after you get the traffic.

All of this is over and above the actual youtube partnership.

I did this with 2 simple 5 part tutorials back in 2008. I still get paid to this very day off those same old videos.

Just a thought and hope it helps.

You also need to be uploading videos regularly, not just have 2 videos with million views

Yes this is true, but if you have a couple of "hot" videos, this is when youtube actually contacts you. I didn't clarify that. There are many with hundreds of crappy videos who cannot make partner either, to be fair. I guess my main point was to add something of quality that people will organically return to on their own and or share.
