No. But, as days go by, Google gives preferences to search results randomization based on GRO location - thus presenting different results to different users based on their GEO location. I believe that in a couple of years from now, maybe less, their GEO coverage algo will be complete and we all focus, eventually, on gaining traffic from PPC networks since SEO is dying slowly.

Pay attention how Google invest a lot in destroying the SEO world, by:
    1. Preventing us from watching the keywords referrals from Google analytics of Gmail logged-in users / and Chrome users
    2. Positioning the Google places results up front
    3. Presenting different results to different users
    4. Making the search results more diverse to include results from Wikipedia, Youtube, and more
    5. Giving us hard time when it comes to links building
    6. Hitting our websites with Panda & Penguin
    and so many more.

Nah. That is a weird thought. Just because it's been a while, Google won't pull down a site. Or Wikipedia pages would have dropped long ago!!! As long as a site adds value to its visitors, it will retain its rankings. Cheers :)

It's not true that Google will remove a result from the number one position for no reason at all. There's always a reason if you dig deep enough.

If you're providing good value for visitors and ticking all the boxes, the algorithm will reward you.

Having predictable search results works in Google's interest, because it reassures people that Google is reliably coming up with the best results.

Google earns great money by returning the most relevant results and has no problem with it being the same page over any period of time. I often tell clients that once they a top ranked they'll stay that way until their competitor gets of their a$$ and makes some changes.
Keep doing what you are and you'll stay where you are.

Rather than saying Google makes good money out of displaying relevant results, I would say it makes great money out of returning relevant ADWORDS results.

The main goal of Google is to eliminate SEO by transfering advertisers to their PPC platform so they (Google) can make more money. Take a look around you, SEO is becoming harder over the years - it's not what it used to be 2-3 years before

It is true, but it is referring just for some niche. For example:

    • Somebody sad here that "if you have good content and useful for people, and they are surfing on your site" you will be ever on top. Now just take a look to PAYDAY niche and FLOWERS
    Flowers top1 and top2:
    proflowers.com and ftd.com

    [IMG][IMG]

    Payday top1 and top2:

    aaapaydaycash.com and paydayone.com

So? As you can see the keywords rise up and then go down MORE in PAYDAY then in FLOWERS. And in fact both of these sites use magic links, as all of use. And it doesn't matter how good is your site... all time we will have enough magic links to be above you. It is just how much you are ready to spend.
