Its fucked up indeed. Though youll die if you drink too much water also. More interesting thing IMO is that she was so hooked on it that she had to drink that 10 litres even her teeth were rotting and she got other health issues.

Article says she drank 2 gallons of coke per day, and smoked up to 30 cigs a day. she's lucky she lived to 31 years old. How the hell does anyone even consume 2 gallons of anything a day? That's an insane amount of liquid. Just think about all of that sugar consumption...ew.

My favorite part of the article was Coca-Colas statement: "The Coroner acknowledged that he could not be certain what caused Ms Harris' heart attack. Therefore we are disappointed that the Coroner has chosen to focus on the combination of Ms Harris' excessive consumption of Coca-Cola, together with other health and lifestyle factors, as the probable cause of her death. This is contrary to the evidence that showed the experts could not agree on the most likely cause."

Translation: We as a company, refuse to acknowledge that an excessive consumption of our product can lead to death.

Should have stuck to the Buckfast. I actually have sympathy for Coca-Cola. Why they have been singled out is a bit unfair. Rednecks with unsavoury lifestyles eat themselves to death everyday. As pointed out any excessive amount of liquid can cause problems and Im sure that wasnt her only excess.

It's not the coca cola that killed her... I mean seriously... That much sugar, caffeine, cigarettes, etc. she was begging for a death wish with that kind of diet. If the mother was so aware of the addiction why did she do nothing, the women likely needed mental help if the addiction was that serious.

It's not coca cola, damn it! If you drink 10 liters of beer/day you'll be in the same situation. Even water is dangerous in this quantity. It's recommended ~2L/day of water.
