My bad experience was with funtonia and some other offer. However the problem was poor alacrity to visit my site, 100 times poorer than in my other youtube efforts so this might mean something. However I am courious to hear how you guys use TI without getting banned. I even never go as far as using it after I get with it (plus real views) 1K views.

Ok, tried this method yesterday with six videos in one account.

Within one and a half days I got exactly 100 views on the videos combined. I even got one video ranked, commented on, favorited and honored (by a real person, not me using Tube automator or something). Result? only 2 out of these 100 people who viewed my videos, minded clicking on my link. No conversion.

I've added my link at the beginning of the video, somewhere at the middle, and finally at the end. I told them clearly to check out the link in the description field NOW to get this ringtone.

My videos are high quality full length music videos (sue me) of a famous artist these days. Well, I've only concentrated on one specific artist... others will come later.

What would you guys suggest to change? Are these poor stats typical for this method? Afterall, a large chunk of them aren't looking for ringtones anyway.

When an album comes out .... put up a song that is NOT a single. The single that is on the radio and TV is already pretty popular. Try getting a song off their album that is not a single. People tend to look for other songs from an album that are not on the radio or TV.

Ok, that's a good suggestion. Will give it a shot. You mean make a still or slideshow with audio background of the song playing?

Ok, the past hour views have increased drastically in my videos... not another single click to my link. I even clicked on it again myself to check if my tracking code is working, and it is.

I'll also try experimenting with putting the keyword "Ringtone" next to the artist's and song's name in the TITLE, not the tags or description. Will try to find out HOW MANY youtubers are actually looking for ringtones.

I have another good idea that I'm 90% sure will work, but may anger a few tubers. Will report back when I've tested it.

Yes exactly, just have a slide of few pics of the Artist. In the tags, might as well add "sexy or hot girls" since there's always people looking up girls regardless of age, background, religion, etc. :-)

Ok, just a quick update...

I've added some sexy tags to 6 newly uploaded videos as well as to a few videos uploaded yesterday to test, and they are doing better (in VIEWS, that is). Still no one took the hassle to click on my link.

Another thing... found by chance a video (recent live event of the artist) posted by someone else. It was uploaded less than 24 hours ago and already getting over 1k views! Hmmm... I downloaded that video, added my watermark, uploaded it and added the same title, tags and description and category the original poster used (did some tiny little changes so that it doesn't appear duplicate).

I noticed that this user was able to enter one hell of a long title (is he on some kind of a privilege), as well as loads of tags. I added what I can of the tags.

Anyway, result? That was all done one hour ago, and my video got over 70 views, increasing each minute, as well as one comment.

Now is that due to the tags and title the guy used, or is it all because that event was a recent one that is search for alot? I am more biased to think it has more to do with that event taking place on the 1st of Oct 2008. So from now on, will focus on RECENT live events.

Oh, one more thing... still no conversion or even a single click to my link. Out of all of my 12 videos getting a total of around 350- 400 views, only two clicks on my link.

Put up more videos.

Honestly, waste of time. Conversion is poor though it is compensated by the easy achieve of visitors or views to your videos. Unless you have hundreds of videos up there, you can't hope for much.
