Im really pissed now. Three other youtubers have reuploaded my original video that was taken down and some of them are remixed and monetized. Meanwhile YOUTUBE had rejected my video due to copyright issues. I created the video. My crew and I recorded it and filmed it. I uploaded it. I boosted it for about 100K hits and then it took off on its own after that and was getting 10K hits/day. I applied to have it monetized and Youtube said no due to copyright issues. It was a SONG PARODY of the most popular video on youtube - all original lyrics and music tracks. Then two days ago it was removed because of the TOS issue.. meanwhile there are people profiting on my work and youtube has allowed them to monetize? What can I do?

DMCA= Digital Millennium Copyright Act, You can submit a claim to YouTube stating that your copyrights are being infringed and they will usually take down the offending videos.

How do you appeal? The google appeal support page sucks................

Tapangoldy on fiverr screwed a few of mine, well only the ones I let him touch have gone down anyway and they are all recently done by him, all the rest of my videos are fine. His gig advertised he didn't use bots or software, which now seems untrue. Hopefully I can get my money back from him somehow through fiverr or paypal.

The banned videos are still showing up in my video manager with this message (Rejected (re-upload allowed)

I might wait a little bit to re-upload any videos yet tho, just in case they change things around again soon as I can't see how it will work out if they don't. Anyway fingers crossed for that.

Flag the video and report it to YouTube. Claim your rights for the video you have created. If you can prove that it is yours, those videos of yours that are re-uploaded by others will be taken down by YouTube.

Next time, put a watermark on videos you make. You can watermark it with your website or company name.

Youtube has not changed the game, just view suppliers trying to eliminate each other. This is all due to ONE method, being reported to youtube. Instead of just patching it, they showed us how ruthless they are capable of being.

I tried to fill out the form but they asked for a link to the original video and that video has been removed. Should I post a link to the video I re-uploaded? Plus it wants time stamps but it only gives room for one and there are several. I mean our actors are in there on and off throughout the the whole video. I don't even care so much about the reposts but a remix using parts of our video is a big problem.

I just read most of this thread, bad timing since I was planning to work in this area.

Google can do what they like as they have the 2 most powerful companies in the world today, web& video. It's sad the web has become ruled by one company that only cares for it's own profits, mainly from adwords and these traffic gigs are direct competition to adwords and that will be the main reason for this.

I guess, it's a new game then. Just eliminate your competitors by buying views for their channel and vids. (Just a thought from my side).

But, seriously, if its true and if YT continues like this, it won't be long enough when people start to buy views to take down their competitors' videos.

I've remained quite enough through this thread. I predicted and advocated audience retention as a true patriot and got blasted, mocked, ridiculed and shunned by various providers and people until they finally opened their eyes. I then spoke about the importance of quality content, which people seem to misunderstand still to this day. Many view providers just barely provide audience retention for public purposes after the re-education people have given on how to effectively rank a video. The fix is really easy, and maybe perhaps I would shed light on HOW a few simple fixes would make it nearly impossible to tell the difference between provider views and real traffic views.

I get your point, but looking from that perspective every view provider on BHW is a scammer, they are using exploits, simulating views through http requests and so on, don't expect that someone actually will sit there and see your video, no matter what they tell you. It's predictable that every method will be patched with time and those who used it may have some losses. A buyer should assume some risks when decides to inflate his view count, if you want real views without any risks than there is a legitimate way too, provide quality content, hire a marketing company, build your fan base on social networks etc. I don't see why on earth would someone become a scammer just because his method was busted.

i noticed the adwords referral a couple months ago with some clients I'm working closely with. Oddly enough, all of those videos are still live and kicking LOL

You are 100% correct. I know how some of the people were doing the views (russian online ad agency/adwords related) because I tracked it down about a month ago by jumping through hoops to figure it all out. It's all about YT/google making money in the end.

OK, I see your pont as well. I just think it's very disingenuous to claim to sell 100k real and safe views for 5$, when it's obvious to anyone who knows the first thing about IM that it just isn't possible. It abuses the ignorance of others to make a profit with a product that is known to be defective and very probable to be dangerous in the long run. That's why I feel that the most notorious guys on fiverr were scaming people. As long as people are open and up-front about the risks, I have no problem with their business.
