I've made something today.
Simple tool for download videos from YT, V and DM and upload them back to your YT account.
At the time I support only 1 link at once because don't have much bandwidth.

Okay, made a sample account to check this out. So far I filled in all of the fields, put in a Videos URL and hit Submit. Now I think it is processing but there is nothing to tell me what the status is/any kind of way to see that it is actually doing anything while it just sits there.....

UPDATE: After a few minutes suddenly the browser tells me that the video is downloading and is showing me a "Video Uploaded:" bit of text..... will update again once it completes. It doesn't really seem to be doing anything again/I cannot tell if it is doing anything. Maybe you can install some sort of process bar?

What links? The links of the original videos I put in the URL field? It isn't exporting any links/uploads....

But i found the problem. If u have any quotes in the title or description it won't work.
I will fix it. Use the titles without quotes in it for now

Dude. This is AMAZING. Super easy. I just had my first success with it, now running it in the background. I have a few questions though, where are these files being downloaded to? Are they going to some server you have and then being deleted afterwards/after re-uploading or how does this process work? Also, how long will this site be up? Excellent work though, highly recommend.

I'd expect it to grab the videos to his server, and then just logging into the account with the information provided and using some YT API for upload.

I'm also giving it a round ATM (it just timed out, giving it another shot).

OP, could you consider providing the needed files publicly available that those who want could just run it locally/on their own servers?

Seems to work pretty much perfectly! Although for me the site just timeouts after (successfully) dealing with the videos. So got the videos double time in my account, lol. Also, special characters (e.g., star ☆ - UTF8?) doesn't seem to print out correctly after. Not that big of an issue, just mentioning.
You could maybe add the possibility of custom title for each video? Personally I'd like to use "my own format" with video titles. Sure I know it can be done afterwards in YT, but while we're in the middle of "LAZY"...

This works for me

I have uploaded 3 videos to test.
it's Fast and simple to use.

Although I have a couple of questions.
I tried to upload 3 videos as follows:

Put 3 links line-by-line
put 3 descriptions line-by-line
put 3 set of tags, line-by-line

But all 3 videos uploaded having the same Description and Tags. May you please guide us on how we may have different descriptions and tags for each video being uploaded?

It's not exactly to be used as everyday service there
That's one of the reasons we'd like to receive the scripts to be run on our own boxes.

@WrightWilliams yes, the files are downloaded to my server then deleted after upload. I plan to develop this, I like it and have some ideas that ma help the youtube marketers.

@Outkast tnx for noticing UTF8. I will add for custom titles, but for now just use it as youtube video "scraper".

@Ingeniousweb It is supposed to have all same description. Idea is to upload 5 videos with all same description and tags. Like when you're testing some niche. I'll put it on my todo list

@candiceswan as I said, I uploaded to hundreds of accounts and never got the same IP issue. This is using youtube API which is made just for web services like this. It wouldn't be any logic if youtube ban based on IP which is always my server IP.

@GoGame because of entering account details or afraid of getting banned? I will add youtube authorization soon. For the second, you will not be banned. If this is the case I would lose all my accounts looong time ago

I just tried it four times with videos of various sizes, it "says" that it worked, but when I log in to YouTube there are no uploads....

yeah, it seems that youtube doesn't like too much downloading.

Is there anyway you can create a standalone uploader that can do like 8-10 uploads at a time but without the downloading feature?

Only because I like the copy-paste of info into the one main field and the easy input of info as opposed to just the standard multi-upload on Youtubes actual site

Ok, youtube is sometimes blocking download for excessive usage. Just wait a little and try again. You can also download videos from Vimeo and DailyMotion to your YT account so try with them.

Until the better solution the application will support one link.

I think there was misunderstand.
Don't let me be misunderstand.
The command line script is bash script, not python. File extension for bash is .sh, so yours will be yt.sh

I'm referring to the script that you provided (bash one, not php as I have no use for that at the moment).

I have everything in the same directory. Maybe I just fail miserably, and it would be better to stick with your service. It would just be much more beneficial to be able to run it myself...

it must work if u have list.txt in folder. run command to see files in folder, let's see what do you have. If u don't just change the code where it says "file.txt" on line 7 and put your filename

youtube-upload is program you have to install. There's a link in the post, read carefully.

I tried to figure it all out, but goes way over my head. Unfortunately, since this is awesome tool I'd just love to run on my own box.

Maybe I'll make full script someday, but till then, just go slow.
1. install rg3 - follow their instruction
2. install youtube-upload
3. run my script

first test out rg3 and youtube-upload from command-line

Actually that authorization is completely useless, it just extends the time of the whole process when user needs to access YT and confirm there. It would be okay if it was saved, but having to do that with every video is just useless.
I use Lazarus to restore the filled fields, and just replacing the YT video link and the title, so it just autofills all the passwords and usernames at the same time. Now the method is broken.

Also, when we can upload multiple vids again?
Oh right, and my stars are still broken, lol. And before anyone asks - yes, the stars do make a difference to the view count.
Would you be able to add the possibility to rip the original title, but add stuff there? E.g., "☆☆☆ $title ☆☆☆" would produce "☆☆☆ This is the original ripped title ☆☆☆".

People are not easy entering their accounts on some website so I added authorization.

EDIT: fixed problem with stars

Well, so far I've only been using three accounts (via different browsers), but mainly been just doing the uploads to one account at a time so that hasn't been an issue.

I understand the reasons for the authorization to be put in place tho, but I feel the bigger issue is the need to authorize after every upload. I'm not familiar with the system, but I find it hard to believe that it should be done every time instead of being saved for the session.

And yay, my stars work! GJ! Saves me the few seconds to edit them in afterwards, lol.

you only have to authorize once now, but u need to accept cookies.
