If I content lock the bands album, if they find out - could they take me to court?

I wanted to do this idea for so long but I'm skeptical about doing this...

It just seems like a lot of people are doing it, and they don't think of this issue. I was always scared of getting in trouble lol. A lot of people don't really think about it, but I think I over-think about it.

Wait, what would hosting offshore do anything with it? Do you think the offshore host would make sure they don't give out any information? I've done this method with torrents, and a movie and got $500 and didn't have any issue...

Most likely you won't get in trouble but there's always a risk. Be careful.

Of course they could, back in my ppc days i got quite some emails from lawyers, once the law firm of Ol 'dirty bastard send me a C&D only because I had an image of his album and linked to a ringtone offer...
P.S: I toom it down and nothing happened.. that is what most likely will happen IF anything happens So don't worry...

At one point i was thinking of the same thing, its a risk many people are taking but they don't think of the problem that ll occur later. There are services out there where you can purchase an anonymous domain which is hosted off shore like Sweden where they don't have copyright laws.
