If you remix a music track, and upload it to YouTube, will they remove it?

Re: Remix Copyright
highly unlikely unless the video goes viral, and even then as long as you state it's a remix or " " artist, they probably will not care

Re: Remix Copyright
You can state whatever you want, won't change a thing.
If you upload a remix to youtube and don't have the written permission of the original copyright holders to publicize it, they can take it down & there's nothing you can do about it.

Re: Remix Copyright
depends on the artist/record label. I know if you try and post your own remix to any Calvin Harris tracks, they wont be up long, and I know that one from experience.

Re: Remix Copyright
if it is moderately well known u will get a song id copyright notice from youtube...from that point its the labels discretion if it gets removed or is subject to fees
happened about 2 years ago to me...and the video still stands

Re: Remix Copyright
You will likely be able to post the song but will not be able to monetize the video via Adsense, for example. It will simply flag it as "video matched third party content". It is up to the record label's discretion as to whether or not they allow it to stand. In some cases, it may be blocked in some countries...or worldwide. It just depends. If the remix completely fools the YT/Google algo into thinking that it's a completely different song, you're golden. But don't count on it.

Re: Remix Copyright
My buddy likes to dj and he has 8 or 9 mixes up that are about 5 minutes each withj 3 or 4 songs per remix in them. They have been up 4ever but he does not monetize them.
