10 months ago I tried 2 or 3 videos with the hotnewhiphop/youtube method but gave up because I realized that too many other people were doing it. I remember checking it a month after I uploaded it and it had a mere ~200 views and was on the 2nd or 3rd page for its search terms.

I just checked it randomly because I found an old link on my PC and it has a bit over 50k views and is 2nd on the search page!

Just sharing - never give up hope on your videos and remember to check them! -CF

Anyways, check Harro's post in the youtube section. A great method and with some tweaking, it'll work for your vid.

I did but unfortunately I wasn't active on my cpa account (maxbounty) and I guess it was deleted. Sucks! But I can still edit it and it's still getting 500-1k views a week so it could be profitable!

And about the 'moral of the story', never forget about your videos because results may come randomly MONTHS later!

I use Vagex way to much... My brain is instinctively figuring out what 50k view is in Vagex time :')

I just checked some videos I uploaded 1 year ago. No such luck it seems, they have only 1k. Still pretty decent if you ask me...

I can't really get much more on it, it's a popular song but most of the views came within a couple months of each other back in late 2011, when the song was on the radio. Seems like it's died down a bit but oh well.

And how would I 'rent description space'? People buy that?

Like from youtube? Its pretty hard to turn a profit out of youtube if you don't have a partner channel.
As far as getting traffic from youtube videos, well, I never had success.
