I was doing a method I read on this form and I recently got this email about the video I posted.

I think you're fine, since they said your video can remain on Youtube.

I get it all the time aswell, as long as the company say it's cool to stay no worries!

Interesting but what if they come back later and say, okay now you have a million views on our video and you used it to promote your product, so give us a licensing fee of x cents per view?

I sort of preferred it when they just deleted the video. At least you know your liabilities are likely to disappear when the video does.

It's a good thing, you'll notice let retards ask "where is the description?" for some reason lol (unless you are branding vids, then it's really non issue)

My youtube channel just got raped because I posted Beyonce's new single.

I dont think they can come back at you later. I was rather surprised universal let people do this (it does make sense they do more publicity for free). But if you were to edit the video and upload it they might have a problem. Though I edited some with a watermark and they still let me put it up.

What happens is when they identify the video belonging to UMG you see an advertisment where the above the video description so they are the ones banking off the google content network ads and your the one loosing visitors to your website because your url in the description is below the flashing attractive ad :-p
