How many views do my video need to hit the front page?

i heard it's somewhere 20,000 views..

Front page of where-- Youtube, Myspace, Veoh???? BHW Stickies?

he posted on youtube forum so i guess he is asking about youtube.

Kinda depends on how many the lowest front page views has....

i'm talking about youtube..i also heard someone said a video needs around 60,000 views to hit the front

I followed this about 3 months ago, and the range was from 40,000 to 47,000. It's probably increased a bit since then, but roughly you need to plan on 50,000+. I also found that Tuesdays seemed to be the best day to post because it seemed to be about 5,000 less needed on those days.

how much traffic can you expect upon hitting the front?

Not only views. You also need ratings, comments and faves...and I heard that first pagers are being chosen by people. Not sure if that is true though

you heard it right.20k in most cases is enough.
but a lot deepends on niche and competition.
