They banned my IP! I can only view the home page(and their private policy page lol)!!! No logging in, no watching videos, no browsing! I can only do that with proxies now. Time to get an ISP with dynamic IPs.

Re: you tube banned my IP...
A cheap working solution @ $8.95 per month is:
***p://www.hide-my-ip.com
Approximately 300 IP's around the world, and you can specify which country you want to appear to be located. Nice interface with lots of user control to tweak.
Is it an incredibly awesome proxy solution? no.
Does it work? yes.
Is it worth $8.95 a month? yes

Re: you tube banned my IP...
I don't think there's really any ISP that assigns completely static IP addresses, if you have cable modem or DSL just unplug the modem for 10 minutes and it should grab a new IP, you could also call your ISP and ask them to reset your modem and tell them it's not loading some websites for you.

I have tried unplugging before and it didn't work. I will call and tell them to reset. Thanks, I totally forgot about that

Re: you tube banned my IP...
Try this:
Click start and run
Enter 'cmd'
Enter 'ipconfig/release'
Now unplug the mains of your modem and wait 30 seconds.
Plug mains back in and you should have a new IP address.
Works fine for me. Also dont use the speech marks, just the text.

Naw it doesn't work for me, I get error messages that won't go away why I type cmd into the computer connected to our modem. A person from the cable company was at our house once to fix our internet and he try that and he couldn't get it to work at all, he told us our computer is just messed up.

Re: you tube banned my IP...
Naw...My IP hasn't changed for YEARS no matter what you do. Yes, 5 years that is...
You can't single-purposely change your IP when your ISP assigns you static/dedi ip...it's like blindly doing something that you know won't ever work...

Re: you tube banned my IP...

Thanks for the advice that is so obvious why did i no think of that before thanks.
Whats the best way to change your ip because i have seen many ways to do it including the subscription service for $8.95 a month for fresh static ips
and for those people advertising on Youtube do you use or have any luck using tube increaser or tube thunder-demo verision to increase your views and tubeinator to increase your comments on different Youtube accounts

Re: you tube banned my IP...
lol at posting a video from youtube on how to change your IP to help those who are banned from YouTube. I as well have my IP banned by youtube. I have comcast, and they assign static IPs on leases. My lease expires Thursday at 4am, so I should have a new IP then. Sometimes unplugging your modem for a while and coming back does work. In order for it to work, someone else has to get assigned your old IP or you get it back. So if you live in a smaller city/town the odds are slim.
For the person who cant use cmd, try typing command instead (they are two different files in your system directory. one is cmd.exe the other is command.com). If you still can't open it, then you probably have been infected by spyware/adware/virus. Usually you get the message that it has been disabled by your administrator.
Typing this message I did remember something. For some reason when I unplug my pc from the router, and connect directly to the modem, I get a different IP. ALSO when I reboot and load off a different hard drive that runs Ubuntu Linux, I have a different IP. So I may try plugging in direct to the modem after this post.
The ipconfig /release, renew doesn't work unless you have a true dynamic IP. Unplugging your modem or resetting it does the same thing. Most people that are on cable have a semi static IP that runs on leases paired with your MAC address.

Re: you tube banned my IP...
if flash cookies are the matter, and banning by mac address is so hard, how come pc games like battlefield 1942 ban by mac address and grand theft auto and multi theft auto ban by serial with such ease? sry noobish question but im curious

Re: you tube banned my IP...
Spoof your MAC address, powercycle cable modem (I have to unplug it from the back and replug it with my modem as it has no power button) once the lights start blinking again you have a new IP/MAC, guaranteed. Youtube can't possibly detect this change and you are a new person to them until you login to your account), voila, problem solved. Doesn't work if your behind a router, only if your ethernet cable is plugged directly into your cable modem.
And games can ban you by MAC address because they are installed on your PC, therefore it's easy for them to detect your MAC. A website is COMPLETELY different story....

Re: you tube banned my IP...
2 things:
1. if you have a wireless router that plugs into the cable modem, you can go in and release it in the router's control panel. now keep in mind that the cable companies have DHCP lease times, which means if it's set to expire in say 2 years, you won't get a new ip no matter what.
2. Do make sure to clear your cookies, specifically the youtube ones. Even on a new ip, you can still have the same php session variable set and they could if they wanted put 2 and 2 together to detect you still should they really wanna jump through that hoop.

Is it really so hard to find DSL providers in USA ? I'm often reading such a threads and I'm pretty confused since I have DSL and it's the best "proxy" source on the planet, new IP available in 4-5 seconds

so i disconnect my router from the current and i get a new ip, but as i kept getting thrown out of a bf game, it meant disconnecting routers changes their ip but not their mac?

ah but is this true though? i can disconnect and in one minute i go to whereismyip and yay i have a new ip. but when do things like twitter and craiglist only track the ip, or do they track something else too? i kno now that youtube tracks flash cookies and thanks for the tip guys, but what about these
