I use Sony Vegas for all my editing.
It has an easy learning curve for the basics.

The Adobe proggies are good as well, only haven't found the time yet to wrap my head around them...

Yeah but then he'll be posting "how do I work Camtasia?"
    Start with Windows Movie Maker.

Did you need to ask a forum for a movie editor?
Or did you find it on your own.
    This is elementary.

I was given a Mac for X-mas... made my life SO much easier. Just using iMovie (included with the computer).

Prior to this, I was using Sony Vegas. Also excellent for PC.

Still learning what this program can do then maybe move up to Final Cut Pro...

I'd recommend Camstasia if you're gonna start off, you can learn to do screen casts, and it's a very simple program to use with good video tutorials, and offers a bit more than windows movie maker.
