New to PPC Marketing
Hello everyone,
I’m new to PPC and have decided to start with Yahoo Search Marketing and Click Bank products. I selected a Product from the ClickBank Marketplace that allows the consumer to stream movies, TV shows, and music videos on their computer for $19.95. I used three add groups with almost all 500 keywords used in each one. What i did was select a list of the top 800 movies of all time. I took the title of the movie and used it with the phrase Watch (movie title) Now or Download (movie title) Now. I put together my add (see below) and set my bid at 1/100th of the price of the product. This way i would break even at 1 purchase every 100 clicks. I have had many impressions, many clicks, 7% CTR, and have reached my daily spending limit every day since i launched the campaign.... but NO sales. What, if anything, am i doing wrong? or does paid advertising not really work? Please help.

Re: New to PPC Marketing
The main thing you need to do is put yourself in the customer's shoes. If you search "Watch Shawshank Redemption now" there will be plenty of sites that have it streaming for free, not many people will pay $19.95 for just one movie that they could get for free anyway. You may want to try a different set of keywords that are targeted towards people looking to replace their t.v. with their computer or something similar to that.
Also, I can't remember the name for the life of me right now, but there's another affiliate product that lets customers watch t.v. on their computer for a one time fee of $100 or something; you could probably make a lot more money promoting that.

Re: New to PPC Marketing
I think go through the 500 keywords and weed out the non buying ones...
You see you might have tapped into people browsing and not really in the buying cycle.
Maybe try to set up an adgroup with the product you are promoting, because if people are searching for the name of a product they might be getting closer to purchasing.
So you then need to seal the deal with your landing page.

personally i would have 5 - 10 keywords per ad or group that way each ad is more relevant to the keyword.

Re: New to PPC Marketing
In addition to all that has been said above, try to do the following:
1. choose about 4 to 7 products that are not freely available elsewhere. Do not go higher than 7 products. Also do not go below 4
2. Do a search for the products and note down their pros and cons
3. create a review page comparing those products.
Creating a review page for products work better. People dont but the first product they see. They want to go through and compare many before they buy. Now if they see multiple products on the same page comparing their features they are likely to buy. They take down some notes and even bookmark your review page so as to come back for more information.
