Default Bidding on Trademarked Terms = Trouble ???

So I'm bidding on a few trade marked terms on right now. Let's say I'm bidding on Walmart and sending people to walmart zip / email submit offer. Will this get me in trouble?

Thats the thing..... The affiliate offer does not have a problem with you bidding on trademarked terms. I'm worried about the actual "walmart" company getting upset about the bidding on their term.

    Hey Black Ice,

If you do a search and no one is bidding on your chosen brand then it is a good indicator not to do it.

You could always contact the company and explain what you are trying to accomplish, then just ask for permission to bid on their name.

I would think if you bid on a tm term and someone has a problem with it, initially they would just send you a cease and desist order.

You may not have to go to the supreme court just yet!

Do you due diligence thouroughly research this and you will be fine.

    Hope this helps!

Well it looks like yahoo pulled my ad. Too bad it was converting at 100% ROI. Such an easy money maker....oh well...back to regular keyword research.

Here's a tip: go to any typo generator and generate a bunch of typos for your keyword, and add those to your ad (just don't add the actual correct keyword)

So people looking for wlmart will get your ad, and most of the times yahoo and google never even notice this, or they do after a long time. Might be able to catch a few more leads
