SEO is all about creating different types of links which are all over the place so that it looks natural. One software do the trick. I would recommend doing the first level web 2.0 properties yourself and outsourcing the scrapebox/xrummer blasts to people offering that service.

I have purchased scrapebox but not much luck so far are there any free vids on how to use it properly??

I would highly recommend senuke x. Very powerful tool that is noob friendly (mostly)
Start with manual work as much as you can. Leave the software for later. Once you understand the main things you need to do you will figure out what tools you need to simplify your work.
Simple youtube search would help with that. Tons of useful vids on SB.

I agree, do things manually so you can learn what it is the tools are actually doing and the benefit.
Once you learn how they work, I would recommend Article Marketing Robot or Article Demon for submitting articles. SE Nuke X 2.0 comes out tomorrow afternoon. I would get that as well.
