Is there any decent software that checks the state of a proxy? I was using `Proxy Checker Lite,' but the same is not working for more than a month. Before beginning, it tries to connect to the server of `helllabs' and their site is down as well.

Scrapebox does work, but it does not provide sufficient information, specially the anonymous level of the proxies.

I've tried `Elite Proxy Switcher' too. Here is where the confusion begins. Proxies passed by it are not passed by Scrapebox. I am a newbie, so I might be making some mistakes. Any guidance would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Scrapebox ONLY looks for proxies that are going to be good with Scrapebox.

Elite Proxy Switcher which is great BTW will find you proxies you can use for your browser.

Of course you'll run across proxies that will work with both in any proxy check run.

@Checkmate: Thanks a lot for the clarification. I have been asking this same question in several forums and you are the only one to provide me with a proper reply.

the best tpye are private proxy if you want to go down that line

@biz2day: I am a total noob as far as scrapebox is concerned, therefore, I do not want to incur further expenditure by opting for a private proxy. Let be become familiar with the program and then I will opt for a private proxy.

As it is, I have not been able to go beyond scraping keywords. On attempting to harvest, the program just searches Google and after some time fetches 0 results.

Then maybe you should give it time and get used to scrapebox then you can consider the private proxies.

Lol no. The mistake was mine. As I said I am a newbie. I had made the mistake of not ticking the other search engines. I have received a good reply from the scrapebox forums and will implement the same tomorrow. Thanks for replying back though.
