    Default Hosting For Forums

Does anyone know the best way to go for forum hosting? I'm going to be using vBulletin if it makes a difference. I'm willing to pay at most $35 per month if that keeps the forum running smooth and leaves me head ache free.

Anybody know the best way to go?

How busy is your forum? $35 bucks is probably not enough for a headache free hosting experience. Also, from the stuff I've read on this forum, Hostwinds is anything but headache free. You get what you pay for in the hosting world. I would recommend at least a 4G 2-4CPU's VPS. Obviously, it all depends on how busy your forum is.

I host vbulletin on hostgator for a forum I own.

You would have to have a massive amount of activity with vbulletin to need to worry about hosting.

You could always get your own server....

Kind of a noob question - How did you all get your forums started? Just start posting & blast out the info?
