Say you have a large collection of pirated niche PDFs, great for putting up a torrent. Would it be safe to link from them to affiliate sites using a dedicated domain and redirects? Anyone have experience doing this? I don't mean covering them in links, I mean inserting them discretely with a keyword-rich domain so it's not obvious.

When dealing with pirated stuff you want to stay as anonymous as possible.
Linking in any way to anything that holds your personal info isn't wise.
The sites your an affiliate for might not give a damn about it, it's the owners of the pfd's who might wanna track and bring you down.

Good point but I'm not too worried about the authors. Piracy is a civil matter and the steps they'd have to take to figure out who I am and sue me would cost far more than any money they could get out of me.

Instead of adding the link inside PDF, you can add a link file with the pdf and zip it..

This may avoid the pirate problem..

Yep - make a .url file with a catchy name, works for me.

Yes, I can do that too. The whole point though would be to drop links in the PDF that look like they belong there. The likelihood they would click through those links would be much higher if it looks like the author is recommending them.
