Myspace Friend Status Spamming June 2009
I noticed many of the Myspace status updates appearing with links to CPA offers and comments containing links (spam). How are they doing this?
For example, I logged in and saw some of my friends comment my status with a link to a Google Work at Home CPA landing page.....
How are they doing this?
Is there a bot to do this because I don't think they are phishing all those accounts (again they could be).
please share your ideas
here's an example of one of the links that I got commented with
Code:
lol nice, hey i got paid a $205 check today check out http://lnk.ms/0TTfY its awesome money!!

Re: Myspace Friend Status Spamming June 2009
Actually, Lnk(dot)MS is like the msplinks(dot)com thing - MySpace changed the link anchor text to the URL when you post your links.
So if you were to leave a comment on my mood and status, with your AFF link included in the comment, it will automatically be processed by the AJAX on crack that MySpace uses.
Same thing as going to a link shortening website or URL redirection.
This happens for just about everyone I think.
Hope this helps some
