what do you all think are the best adsense alternatives? is blogads.com legit? they want to be able to call you etc. has anyone had good experience with blogads?

Blogads is definitely legit. I have successfully used it some 3-4 years ago.

Blogads is nothing like adsense, if you want something similar to adsense go for adbrite, lijit or others.
Blogads usually accepts high-performing sites, unlike adsense. Blogads also has a recommendation from existing users to get in to the network. So basically you have to write someone within the network and request them to include you to get in to blogads (not to sign up, but to get in to a "network"). If you have good traffic blogads advertisers usually pay very high amount for ads. I had two ads that sold for $1500 each. Purely CPM ads.

I don't use blogads anymore, it does good with political activism/celebrity type blogs, while other type of blogs are also in the network but not every does good on them. Its also a very small network. I had to wait 8 months for anyone to buy ads through blogads.'

Like I said its nothing like adsense. There system is also confusing, slow and good only for certain type of blogs.
