I have a feeling this has something to do with TweetAttacks.

Are you thinking of tweetattacks? My assumption was that they're off the twitter hit-list. (At least as a corporate legal target, their existing users and hosting providers not withstanding.)

I guessed a bunch of big players got some sort of warning/threat 2-3 weeks ago, and tweetattacks backed down.

But if you're thinking of somebody else, I'm all ears. :D

Update- TweetAttacks was included (but why? they've backed down..) In any case, I've updated the OP with all the legal targets.

And this is exactly what Pinterest is going to do when the get pressure from their investors... Threaten to take bot makers to court.

Shit like this makes me think twice before I do anything and kinda makes me wanna get a nice little blog and kill everything else..

This happened also to f@cewizard back in the day, not twitter but facebook. Thing is, if your going to be providing tools for spamming social network sites like these dont be surprised when they come after you eventually . In my opinion thats a reason why is better to go the private route in terms of these tools sooner or later shit like this happens.

hey guy, its true, twitter is really pulling the hammer down this time, i guess that going private is the only route. Anyways do you guys have any idea how much would it cost in developing a twitter bot like keyword nitro etc

I'm not surprised. It was only a matter of time before they use their in-house lawyers on big salaries.

i see they stop selling tweet attacks, but do you think it will still be updated?

From their blog:

"One challenge in battling spam are bad actors"

They call them "bad actors".......huh?

Same here zai21 and socialmediaking, I know I have to be worried about the creator but also worried this product will no longer be updated. At least it is still running fine right now.

Our friends at TweetAttacks have taken down their site due to issues from having an auto account creator for twitter. We do not plan on nor ever created an auto account creator due to the fact it is simply a nefarious type program used by spammers to create thousands upon thousands of profiles with a click. This is obviously not a nice way to market.

TweetAdder Blog, 23 March 2012 (now deleted)

Tweetadder laughing on their competitors pain and now getting the same treatment, LOL!
Now they are being sued also.

And now TweetAttacks is offline, can't even sign onto the client....#efff

ouch all right, hope a few of them arnt US based....
and I hope people selling pinterest bots arnt US based either.
