I have 262,928 followers on twitter.
& I have been wondering why my follower count hasn't been going up after I haven't tweeted for weeks. My followers do depend on my tweets, & I have been tweeting, but i've just been loosing followers.

So I switched my username to another catchy handle. Gained about 7k, about 1k a day, but now I rack up only 200 a day.

Help?

how you can get 260k followers ?

I've been gaining followers from my followers being active. + celebrities would follow me as well.

You need to really monetize this. I know a guy who makes XX,XXX/mo from around that many followers.

What niche are the followers?

If they are all legit you could make some serious money.

if you stop tweeting, stop following people and you're not a (twitter) celeb, why do you expect to gain 1k followers per day? just because you have 260k followers?

you actually gain more than 200 new followers daily, i'd say at least twice/triple as much, but if you don't monitor it, you won't know for sure
why do you gain not only 200, but a lot more? because hundreds of people unfollows you every day, you wouldn't even notice it until you gain more than you loose

help? start tweeting again, "force" RTs, #shoutouts, start following responsive people

if you want to continue increase your followers then you need to be active and regular tweeting in your account..
i am getting 5000+ twitter followers daily..but i am tweeting regularly ..
if i stop tweeting then ofcourse people cant follow you.

Thats a lot of followers to get at twitter. However its not taken for granted that you will always keep on increasing them.

That's crazy, I've never made more than 500 bucks a week.

And yes, I've never b o u g h t followers.
I would sometimes do "goals" with other accounts to gain followers, all real.
And according to klout I'm almost at 1,000,000 ReTweets.

I would love to make serious moolah, but it's hard now.

I also am tweeting about every 1/2 to 1 hour.
But how on gods earth do you gain 5k? I've gotten Top tweet & Retweeted by Celebs and never made more than 2k that day.

I can get 300 bucks a tweet, regarding how many clicks it gets.

I have 205k & just tweeting make your traffic keep going up. It's hard to gain anymore. You gotta be a youtuber, celeb, or someone amazing to gain anymore. It's hard now a days.

I believe it, its not easy to convert... $500 a week is chill IMO. I would try to consistently reach that number and start other projects as well.

Have you tried sending them personal message or mentioning them while you tweet? Most followers are really longing for attention and if you fail to do it they will start unfollowing you. Well, don't get discourage if your losing some of them, engage yourself in some other activity that will boost your online visibility.

wow how long does it take to get that many followers? did you buy any?

i have been following people at a rate of 100 per day, targeted, and its taken me 6 months to reach 3000 followers
