Just saw the social network on DVD and the thing that puzzled me most was how the hell did Mark Zuckerberg promoted facebook in the first place when it was first launched. I mean it's not like that guy had thousands to spend on marketing.
I get where facebook is at today what with all the billions of $$ of investment, talented staffs, etc but FB's initial fame at Harvard was ridiculously high. In the movie, Mark emailed the fb link to elite friends of Eduardo's. Don't know how true that is. Can a few Harvard students from an elite club actually get the rest of the students on campus to join an unknown site then?
What do you guys think? Hazard a guess anyone?
