I thought this would be a possible good post that could become a sticky on this part of the forum...

For new BHer's considering doing social bookmarking as a way to generate traffic for their site...lets here some success stories...


What type of product are you marketing? (Your Own, CB, Paydotcom?) What kind of product is it in a broad sense...


Starting from zero hits what successful habits did you do? When did the traffic start picking up? What type of work and how much did you do in the social bookmarking arena?

How Many hits is you site getting now? How long ago did you start social bookmarking for that site?




ALL of these questions do not have to be addressed....but rather to get your brain thinking...It would be good for someone considering social bookmarking to see other success thats happening..

I have lots of success with StumbleUdon + Autostumble.
When I take the time to submit a new page every day(Just take some funny picture, wrap it with Adsense and other shit, and post, takes no more then 10 minutes), within a week traffic picks up to a few thousands uv/day.
The secret is to pick up the right tags, and you are golden.

As to which products to market. First of all, don't expect great convertion rates ever, no matter what you sell. I use Adsense + Cookie stuffing. Need nothing more.

I have had decent success too.

From my personal experience; even if you are using these auto *submbling and dig*ging tools, the key is to find unique interesting content. Also the niche of the post matters; something I noticed is:

dig*g: more targeted towards tech enthusists
stumbl*upon: more targeted towards people trying to find funny/interesting stories, games, cool stuff

People actually do comment on your postings, and that will increase the value of your submission.

i have submitted my site to the lots of social bookmarking site but i didn't get the result

i would say i have got moderate results.but after reading the above posts i figured out that my problem was tags.
hope know i will get better results.
till now i have used stumble and got around 100-150 uniques per day without any problem.

Got lot of traffic that way too!
